i have a series 2 spack vy and wanting to no wat suspension they have as im thinking bout putting fe2 suspension on it.
It has FE2. Sways are heavy duty and the shocks have a revised damping rate as well as the rears having gas and oil damping combined. If you like the ride height and want to improve the handling chuck some heavy duty sway bars on. If you want it slammed then some Kings SSSL should do the trick. Might need a camber kit though

is the sports suspension they come out with from factory but is there are way u can tell
Tell what? Yes the S and SS both came with FE2 suspension from the factory. The only way you won't have FE2 is if someone has replaced it.
Nope...
VY's came with standard suspension...
FE2 was an option, check your plate at the right in under ur bonnet to see what its got;
Either "STD", or "FE2"![]()

S and SS are standard with FE2, that's what makes them an S along with the body kit and radical spolier lol

As Tyson said, The compliance plate is your friend, read it !
If you think its been changed you might be able to get a part number off the rear shock and ask at holden.
cheers guys for ur help
The ute S packs don't come with FE2
well i checked the vehicle specs for the 2004 series 2 spacks and they say for the suspension its sports
the plate in the engine bay of my VY Series 2 S pack has a big STD indent on it...
I think the storms came with FE2?
he means SEDANS.
VY S sedans = fe2 standard.
its pos anyway. i ripped all the suspension out and have replaced every component. much better ride now, and it feels like the car shed 300kg around corners
yeah i checked my plate in the engine bay and it had FE2 stamped there for suspenison
wat u on about? fe1.5
fe 1.5 is calais spec.
its 1/2 fe1, 1/2 fe2, as its a comfort style system.
fe2 front sway, fe1 rear, fe1 shocks, fe2 springs etc etc
FE 1.5 = shitola! Full pedders whiteline sways = oh yeah!

so are they good or shit
if you drive on bumpy roads bigger sway bars are a pain in the arse - your car will be hopping around everywhere and you'll probably go slower. On smooth terrain ie. race tracks they're awesome.
If you drive on bumpy roads a commy is the wrong car for you. Cruisers, adverntras, Ssan Yyong are all good for this. Commies are limited in their ability, they are for the road. Good suspension (lowered not raised) will actually turn them into a tight handling car

So the concensus is that they are good?
VYII Calais L67
yeah, but if you get them make sure you get adjustable ones.
I agree, I adjusted mine to the firmest position when I fitted them. I also just picked up some Whiteline swaybar links with sperical ends. Very nice stuff
