    Default Timing

What is the stock timing degrees set to on a LS1, is it 15 deg?

Can more power be teased from a stock motor by adjusting the timing 2-3 deg?

Its something that is commonly done in the VG30DETT motor as the stock timing is 15 deg so the PCM thinks, but when you adjust to 17-18 eg you get more power again safely.

well it all depends on your advance, I take it your talking timing at idle here which in that case don't go trying to make it 20-28 as your looking for trouble, aim for say 15-18 then you will get somewhere between 24-34 at full advance, not sure of the exact specs as not too familiar with LS1
