    Default Bonnet Flutes?

    Hi,
Just wondering can you get flutes for your bonnet?
    I have a VY executive series 2.
If you can get them how much would they be?
    Thankyou

If you want it to look original have you thought of getting a Monroe bonnet

take a shotgun and give it some of Homer Simpson's patented "Speed Holes" or you could get crafty with a grinder.

Seriously, you could start with Alfa Motorsport fibreglass and go from there.

Well, do you have any constraints?
    I'm guessing you're on a budget.
So do you want to change the whole bonnet or just put some vents in?
Because for what it's worth, the cosworth bonnet vents are quite functional and unobtrusive.
Do a google and you might be able to turn some up.

But please, PLEASE don't put a nissan patrol scoop in as some person has done here in town, on a VT clubsport, it looks horrid.

If you're going to do anything at all i think the monaro bonnet aswell is the best option. Anything else is a huge gamble, might not come out the way you think and then you're stuck with it.

I decided to not go with a Monaro bonnet...just far to common now & the XR8 bonnet hump thing is also being done to death. The old VK GroupA bonnet scoop is making a come back but I went a different way.

Last legend, it's a little hard to make out because of the glossy paint. You can take that as a compliment if you want, but is there a hole through the bonnet or is it cosmetic? if so, did it drop your engine temps any?

Hi, no its no just cosmetic there are two big holes cut through the bonnet to extract the hot air from under the hood. it tends to act like a vacume and sucks the hot out while the air flows over the scoop.

the engine temp has dropped a little as I drove it for the first time yesterday between Brisbane and the Gold Coast and the temp guage was a fraction lower.

What I have noticed is the increase in power due to opening up the front Grill and forcing a hell of a lot more cold air into the CAI and with the Bonnet scoop it has kept the engine running cooler.

I will try and post a better pic as your right the Black paint work I just had redo is so very glossy due to the extra coast of clear I had added to give it a deeper effect.
