whinning noise on acceleration

my series 2 spack vy has a whinning noise on acceleration but once cruising u dont notice it can anyone help???

check your air intake is all secure may jsut be a bit of air rushing thru a gap somewhere wen your accelerating

danja, my supercharger doesn't make a sound! If it does something's wrong there LOL An L67 without mods should not make a noticeable noise!

As for the whining, could be a few things, just take it to a mechanics shop and they can advise you on what they think it is.

Could be power steering pump on way out, could be trans is getting tired and simply needs a service, could be a myriad of things.

i think he's refering to the whining noise that the gearbox makes while holding first gear past the natural shift point.....pre VX2/VY (i'm not sure when they upgraded the shift pattern to mimick the fords zf 4spd) shifted early to use the torque and not rev the engine for no reason, ala VY.....

sounds like diff whine are you sure it does not whine in top gear as well if it does its most likely your diff mate

I've got a bit of a whurring whine, when i give the car a footfull of acceleration i can hear it. Sounds great! the v8 supercars have a similar sort of whurring, i love it. Hope it isnt anything broken though!

diff pinion angle changes on hard abrupt accelleration creating wear on driveshaft components.at cruise speeds the driveshaft is on correct angle.bushes,suspension and lowering are other areas that may make issue worse.
