tail lights??

just scored myself an 03 vy s last week and pretty keen on getting new tail lights but all i can find anywhere are the vz ss ones. i want something dark, not those altezza ones. would the ss ones go on easy enough? read somewhere it would take 'small amount of modification'...

The lights should fit straight in. All you need are the wiring looms.
Alternatively you could just get the VY SS ones.

You might have to check on the VZ SS lights fitting ur S, I havent heard of anyone that has fitted VZ lights on a VY.

that's why i'm a bit cautious about it. they're not cheap and i've heard of too many people getting done for using that tinting shit. i just want some nice dark tail lights against the silver and the altezza ones are too shiny for my liking

You will need a bumper to match.

Lower spec VYs have smaller lights than berina/calais etc.

so if i was to buy a VZ calais bumper..will that fit on my VY?..and i will also be able to install the long awaited VZ Calias taillights?

Not sure if the mounts are the same, but i'd assume they would be.


The problem is, VY Exec, S, SS etc all have smaller (not as low on the car) lights. So those cars rear bumpers go higher up to meet them.

Please note: these Tail Lights will also Fit (VZ) Models..SV6, SV8,S,SS,CALAIS,& BERLINA Sedans.
However you will need to modify loom / glob sockets to suit new application

it says in that link that the VY ss ones fit the vz wouldnt it be the same both ways

Hi all, as you can see I've installed a pair of VZ SS tail lights on my VY II exec and it was just a straight replace and install no new looms or rewiring.
