Default Towing on a VY V6

Hi guys just got my Vy last week and I have just put it on LPG.It has 1600kg tow bar on it and I want to tow my 16ft boat 4.8 meters.I'm just wondering what a the Vy 3.8 lt auto like for towing . Do I need to use the power button option and leave it in drive or select the Tbar in another mode.I know with LPG I will notice it a bit more then petrol, but what a they like to tow with??.Regars Daniel

16ft you should pull that no problems. Put it in power and leave it in drive. When coming down a big long hill chuck her back into 3rd to slow you down a bit without killing the brakes. If needed slow down enough then put it into 2nd but at 16ft you should have no dramas. Gas wont make much difference however if you find its struggling with overtaking etc put it on petrol and pick your gaps.
no longer a hoon by association - the commodore is gone

my mate tows a large boat with his vx, close to 1200kg, just go easy or prepare to go through tailshaft couplings

TVR-190: That LSD service paid off. Stato just got very sideways.
Grennan: In a stato, the term is held starboard.

We have a 16ft boat with a double fibreglass hull so it's a bit heavier than most newer boats and we have no problems towing it. We don't even need the power option. Car is a VYII V6 auto.
