    Default ABS fault

    Hi all,

Just lately when ever i crank my sound system (2x 12" subs in the boot) it will shut down and i get an error on the LCD display screen "ABS fault".

Is this something i should worry about... could cause further problems?

I don't think i have ABS maybe i do... no clue really

The Sound sys shuts down or the ABS?

Maybe when have the SS volume up, its interrupted the electrical system of ur ABS or the vibration of the sound is doing it. Im not to sure

Best way to see if u hav ABS, left ur bonnet & just to the right of ur left hand side strut you should have a device with 5 pipes coming out of it, thats ur ABS.

That sounds to me like you have too much power being drained by your system and your ABS not being able to be grounded properly. Will also make your engine less efficient and cost you more in fuel! Maybe look into a grounding system so your engine and transmission have a clear ground line to the battery. I know my last car needed it badly with my sound system, the driving lights (and all dash lights even on cluster) dimmed with the subs, can't have been good for the engine.
