Standard VY lights (Not projector)
Low beams - H4 55watt
High beams - H1 55/60watt
Fog Lights - H3
Parkers - T10 wedge parkers

This can not be made any simpler.

Legally you can only get HID for projector style headlights. Meaning Berlina, Calais or HSV.

VZ SS yes but you have a VY. VZ models don't have the teardrop light like the VY does meaning you can't fit the VZ lights without changing the front bar over.

in VIC, many ppl have hid kit. all my frd they already have.

ive been driving around with mine for ages now. no problems at all. no projector no nothing just HIDs. and if u do get pulled over. say its white and under 100w. =D

I'm not saying you physically can't do it, I'm just saying legally you can't do it. I mean I'm going to do my exhaust but I'm only on my P's. Laws are more guidelines... only you can be fined if you find a nasty cop, or any cop really.

haha yeah but just giving advice. because i talked to acouple or the traffic cops. and they didnt mention anything when i said HIDs... even neons. most cops are just patrol cops so they just chase you if you speed or only have one head light... etc
got a couple of cop mates that come chill out at my shop and they wanna see me with blue and red flashing neons o.O
