just use a vy one ?
inlet plenum is slightly different then earlier ones, and last vy motor we bought was only 650 dollars for round 70000klm on it
Hey guys, looking for a spare engine for my ecotec vy comodore to rebuild. what other models house the same engine as a vy and would be a direct swap...
not sure if vn, vp's used different sensors in things like that.
cheers,

oh ok sweet. not that dear then... looking to turbo one.. do you know what modifications would be needed for a stock motor? internals?
depending how much psi you want to run, but the list is almost endless for the ecotec, crank, rods, piston, cams etc, to rebuild with performance parts = $1000's,
you may be better off plumbing your turbo up to your existing engine, work out a tune, all plumbing, than transfer to the new motor once built, or old one flogged
