VY Light and Radio

[Holden V8 SS Ute]

Hi guys. On my SS ute VY. When i have the automatic light switch on and the radio on they both are not turning off automatically when i open the doors to get out of the car etc. The delay time is on for 1 second but I think it may be a sensor which is stuffed etc. Does anyone know what this may be and how to replace. Thanks

If you just drive and stop, then take your kets out, and then open the door do they switch off? And more importantly, does your courtesy light come on?

there is no delay for the radio. it turns off as soon as u turn off your car/ open your door. which ever one your set it to.

I get home from work in the driveway turn the engine off take the key out and then open the door to get out the radio and auto lights remain on even when u close the door and lock it still remains on

there is something stuffed... stock HU? if it is take it to a Holden place

Try set off the alarm by doing this:

Wind down DRIVERS side window.
Arm your alarm with one click of the lock button.
Wait 30 seconds
Open door and alarm should start within 2-3 seconds.

If it doesn't then you have a faulty door switch.

Also does your courtesy light come on when you open the door after the car's interior courtesy light has gone off?
