HELP! VZ SS seats into VY SS

Hi Guys,

I purchased some VZ SS leather seats to put into my VY SS. The front driver and passenger seats did not come with seat belt buckle/pretensioner assembly. I attempted to put my VY SS seat belt buckle and pretensioner assembly onto these VZ SS seats but they would not fit as they are slightly difference. I contacted holden spare parts to get the assembly, and mentioned to the gentlemen what i was doing. He said that as of 15-03-2004 the VY seat belt buckles and pretensioner assembly part number was different, which means my early VY SS (2003) is different to later VY's and VZ's. He also mentioned that i should find out whether airbags will deploy if i put these seats into my car, as the system might be different. Also, on the drivers seat of the VZ seats there is a cable with a white clip that was not on my VY drivers seat, does any body know what this is for? The passenger seat does not have it.

So i was wondering...
- Has anybody put VZ SS seats into early model VY SS (before build date 15-03-2004)? What about VT/VX SS (i assume these are the same as early VY SS)?
- Has anybody run into this issue before with seat belt buckle assembly?
- Will airbags function normally or is it a different system?

airbags will have to be enabled in tech 2 i think. if you are worries, disconnect the plug to them.

i have a mate who put vz hsv seats into his vt xu6, seemed to have no probs, but may of had the seat belt assembly.

also part numbers are updated to the newest model, like with dust guards for the suspension.

one of my was ****ed, i got a new 1 from holden, but its from a 've' yet it suits all of them including VB.

If the seat belt assembly wasnt too expensive, maybe just buy it from holden. or ask to see one to compare it to your VY one.
