    Default Central locking question

Hi there. today when i came to unlock my car wit the remote the driverside lock only lifted up half way and door was still locked.

in order to unlock door fully i had to use the key which opened the lock up all the way. this only happened to the drivers door.

whats wrong and how can i fx it? thanks in advance

Most likely the door actuator (device used to push up the lock) is sticking, best thing to do is to take off the door trim & try to get the actuator out.
Best thing to use would be good ol WD40, this will free up the mechanism.

once the signal is sent it either gets there or doesn't meaning it either unlocks or it doesn't.

Pull the trim off, lube it up with something and have a play while the trim is still off. it is possible the actuator is weak with age and the slightest friction is causing it to not operate properly.
