VY LPG- engine sounds dry

hey guys
I've had my VY SII for over a year now, It had LPG when I got it and the clock reads 230K's now.
Anyway, I was in a friends VY the other day and I could hardly hear his engine. Mine sounds really dry (if that makes sense) it kindsa sounds like its coming from the belts, or the something. My friend said it could be cause mine is on gas (and his is not)
Can someone suggest what it could be and how to fix it?
I don't know that much about engines, except how to change my oil and flush the radiator, stuff like that but any help would be great.. thanks

Is it factory LPG? Also, do you run it on Unleaded at least once a fortnight or once a week (if you do a bit more driving)? By using unleaded it's meant to stop the engine drying out!

If the engine's dried out, you'll want to take it to a mechanic for them to do a full engine check, but that might cost quite a bit!

Yeah I use petrol about 30%of the time.
It just sounds noisier than most..

Whens the last time it was taken to a mechanic? Because they can check it all out for you especially if you dont know much about the engine. Just take it to someone you trust. But with 230k on the clock it's expected to not sound as quiet as it was on it's first day of use because of all the wear on it. Mine's hardly noticeable in the cabin at all when in neutral, when accelerating you can hear it a bit, but mainly the supercharger. But it isn't LPG.
