Vy 2002 V6 Commodore Engine Mods

Hey guys, I'm new to this site I'm just wondering what everybody's thought are about engine mods for 2002 VY V6 Commodore.

I have made my car look good with body kit, lowered, rims ect and now i wish to turn my attention to more power/fuel economy and anything else that comes with engines mods.

I plan to get pacemaker extractors and a custom exhaust from the cat back, when i get the cheque from the Australian Stimulus package.

But what I am wondering is what else I can do aswell, I have heard that extractors and exhaust give you more power and/or better fuel economy as do a new air filter, higher ratio roller rockers, a new cam, stage 2 shift kit...

I would love it if someone could explain these things and suggest some things I can do.
