I dont know which to go with... i want more power. enough to cook tyres with ease, but still enough fuel effeincy to make it worth while as a cruising car...
most of my mates are saying go supercharger, and while from the setups iv seen, it would be easier, i also want that noise of a blow off valve
by the time im ready to do this, ill have,
full exhaust with pacies.
1.9 or 1.95 rolla rockers.
2 hole CAI.
which should i go? im stumped!!!
supercharger is easier than turbo. you might want to check out the v6 performance section if you want help.
from everything iv seen i deffanetly agree! but i like that feeling "whens it gonn- WHOA! THERE WE GO!!!!) and the sound of a blow off valve...
well go turbo then - why bother asking if you've already made your decision?

supercharger is more of a wow factor i think but its all personal opinion
thats just it, i dont know yet. im still trying to decide...
is there anyway way to get the blow off valve sound out of a supercharger?
i guess you could install a fully hecktic speaker that goes PSSSSSHHHHTTT! when you shift.
Both, hold that thought
lol, pass! any other ideas?
If ya want to cook tyres first step is get rid of the 6 , step 2 add 5.7 v8 and there ya have it your very own tyre fryer and if thats not enough smoke on the fire then add a supercharger and enjoy. Wouldnt waste me time and money on a 6

how much hp or kw gain would ya get out of a stock 3.8 with a supercharger on it with out spending big bucks on internals, computer, intercooler , fuel system ........................
You're pretty new around here and i'd hate to see you start off on the wrong foot, but frankly us ecotec/3.8 owners don't give two hoots about how much more you can get out of your 5.7/6.0/6.2L v8's - if we did we'd probably have bought one by now.
Its best you learn that before another v8 vs v6 war starts.
Oh, and welcome to JC!

my point is why put a supercharger on a 3.8 when they already come out factory with one ,why not buy one from the start.Turbo for tha matter would be different but still how much hp/kw gain are you going to get out of if without spending big bucks on everything else ,the supercharger or turbo is the cheap part
get an I6 out of a ba series falcon whack a turbo on sleeper and a half

) im still saving for my REAL car!!! iv also made up my mind, im going with a raptor supercharger. (one day)
if your just into cooking tyres, lower diff ratio. should really be all you need. and upgrade your trans cooler.
speaking of forced induction for fords, i really want a BA XR6 turbo complete engine, trans and harness to whack in my complete stock EB fairmont. now that would be a sleeper (leave the LPG stickers on it too) lol
