Have just had a new instrument cluster fitted due to fuel gauge not working.
Installed myself, but had to get dealer to "program" cluster to suit car.
One of the things they do is calibrate the fuel gauge. They had several attempts at this to get it right (after me running out of fuel).
Now the tacho seems to be reading too low.
Is it possible they have programmed it for a V6 engine? This car is a V8.
Anyone know?
Can't get the car back to dealer for some time due to work, but first chance I will, just wondering if anyone else had experience with this.
As long as it came out of another VY they can reprogram it. V8-V6 or V6-V8 it can be done.![]()
The Blue One
+ 1 SV6. As long as is a VY cluster and from the same series. they can calibrate it.
If the revs are out, sounds like they used the wrong engine mode. as for the fuel, you need to make sure they use the fuel calibration code number that corresponds with the fuel tank size of the tonner.
