Problem with headlights when set on automatic

Hi guys. I have a problem with my headlights when they are set on automatic. The sensor is set to 5 secs turn off but for some reason last night the headlights would not turn off when the car was locked.

Has anyone had the same problem or know a solution to fix it?

how long did you wait for them too turn off? mine take a little bit sometimes but to eventually go off.
