Hey guys i deleted my last my ride thread because i was a bit over it but i thought id start up a new one.

it was one of my mates weddings this weekend and he wantred to use my car and another mates ( hes on the forum Noot_72) car in it so here are some photos of our cars.

X-treme heavy duty clutch
18in speedy wheels finished in black.
Adjustable strut brace.

Very nice, is that an ss spoiler and calais/berlina boot trim i see on your mates car? How did you modify your grille it looks tuff.

yeah pretty sure its an SS spoiler on his car, i think its an executive and the previous owner decided to put SV6 badges on it. he hasnt bothered removing them.

The grille is standard and i hacked all the "flutes" out of it, fixed where it was cut with fibreglass, smoothed then i found the mesh in dads shed lol cut it to size and glued into place.

i though the ss had different headlights to the ones ya got, or is that only in the later models?

VY SV8 and SS headlights and tail lights are the same. the other car in the pic bought SS head and tail lights for his car.

the Lst of the VZ's had a projector light but the earlier VZs are basically the same but the parker lamp is incorporated with the low beam instead of the "tear drop"

Bit of an update, havent posted here in a while. grilles been changed again from these pics. its had the lion completely removed and a heap of fibreglass where the top and bottom of where the lion used to sit filled in with fibreglass. not 100% finished yet but when it is, will be posted up soon. the mesh has been changed as well to a new style and is also black. so the car is now completety badgeless

exhaust has had a resi added to it as well to keep it quieter ( a lot quietier now lol) coz with my future career qoppurtunities relying on a clean slate driving record i dont need the extra attention.

nah, ive sprayed it matt black to match the car. suits it a lot better imo.

not yet man, you will see it on the cruise, its on the car but im not happy with it but more work required.

Bit of an update, thought id share pics of where my grille is at. its still not finished, i need to smooth out the "lump" in the top centre of it where the badge used to be. its just a buld up of fibreglass so a bit of sanding and a respray should fix it. i love lookin at my car and not seeing one badge on her lol.

gave the old girl a service today and thought would be a good idea to do the front brakes as well, so ive whacked some slotted rotors on her and some new pads.

yes its dirty, i was country driving last night (hence the bugs) and its gettin washed tonight when i head out lol.

wont be updating it for a while now as i have a new project: gettin my new soon to be daily falcon up to scratch

How did u manage to fit 6x9's in the doors? Also the x-treme HD clutch wats that like? im looking at a new clutch for the SV6.

6x9's in the parcel shelf. but all the door speakers are replaced with pioeer units. the clutch has been in there a while now and its great. bit more tempermental than the stock unit but no where near as agressive as some of the othersive driven. id def recommend one. Had it in for the 1/8 mile pics and held up there no dramas.
