Hey Braba,
I got Greg to add the low level outputs. I actually found him from this forum, goes by the name of Phreddy and has his own forum section right at the top called ASR Audio and Electronics. You should check his work out, very highly recommended. All I did after that was as you would with an aftermarket head unit, install wiring, run the RCA's from the back of the head unit and that's it.

Hey guys,
Trying to decide what rims to go for was wondering if I could get other people's opinions. I have taken some photos and photo-shopped 3 different rims which appeal to me. The idea is I wanted to keep the rims within the Holden range, I'm not really a fan of aftermarket rims.
Pictures are in order of my preference, however I don't know whether I should go with 18s or 19s. Not sure if 19s will be too big or if I have to get my guards rolled and what not.
Picture 1 shows the 18" VZ GTO Pontiac rims
Picture 2 shows the 19" VE SSV rims
Picture 3 shows the 18" VE SS rims

Yea perhaps, that's pretty funny though, car that looks the same. Then again I haven't added my personal touch yet. I don't live far from you, I actually live in the Castlewood area of Castle Hill. Maybe we should organise a Hills cruise one day? I reckon the GTO rims would suit better too, plus they are only 18" so tyres would be cheaper too :P

I'll link you to where you can buy either the DIY kit or get the guy who developed it to install as well, or your third option is to buy the DIY kit and get Phreddy from ASR Audio and Electronics to install it for you.
Here is the DIY kit link
and here is the supply and install link

Dude cheers for sharing your pics ay, I reckon it looks heaps better with the SSV rims. Not sure if I wanna lose the spoiler though, I actually made sure that when I bought it, to have a spoiler on it, I quite like it with the spoiler. But you've definitely confirmed I want the SSV rims now! Lookin sweet dude!

Yea it is Fred Caterson. Good guess :P I wouldn't be suprised if you've seen my car around, I tend to drive around Castle Hill alot.
Cheers for the comments, yea I got phreddy to do it. I think he's the only one in the area that does it, and once I saw it I knew I had to get it.
I think after seeing the pics of the SSV rims on a VZ Berlina the same colour as mine has tempted me to definitely run with the VE SSV rims.
What do you drive?

New addition to my car is the iPod integration to the Blaupunkt 6 stacker head unit. This now allows me to control and play my iPod through the factory unit. I think it's a great addition as now I have all my music in the car without having to change CD's, but still allows me to play CD's as the unit is still fully functional. The best part is it still all looks stock so you can't tell otherwise. I wish to thank UDC for this modification and all credit is deserved for the hard work that went into designing and implementing this product.

VY Calais, LS1, 19's, Lowered, VY2 Front bar.
Yea they do look good, problem is they are so rare. Can't find them anywhere. Any ideas?

Update: Finally got my custom leather interior. Spent all weekend installing it. Basically removed the original factory seat trim and installed the new leather seat trim using galvanized wire and a whole lot of zip ties. I am very impressed with the quality of these leather trims, they fit absolutely amazing, they aren't loose and they wrap around nice and tight. Looks the real deal.
The rear seats were easier than the front. All the seats in the rear are quite easily removable whereas with the front I had to completely remove the seats from the car and dismantle it completely to remove all the plastic trims off it and to get the cushions separate.
The only other issue I ran into was when I removed the seat pockets on the back of the front seats, once you remove it, it snaps the plastic clip which holds it in place. I couldn't seem to remove it without snapping it. However these clips are quite easily interchangeable and my theory is Holden know that there is no way of removing these without snapping them. Went to Holden and picked up 4 new clips for $20.
I'll let the results speak for themselves though.

My long awaited VE SSV 19" rims should be coming in a week or 2. Just been waiting for my current tyres to wear down. They are pretty much at the end of their life so once I get new tyres for the SSV rims they should be put on. Hoping they won't raise my car too much tho.
