Nice SS with some simple but taseful mods.
An OTR and mafless tune wil transform this car, you will definitely notice the difference, more power and should use less fuel.

Well now that I've sold my 6cylinder VZ.... or more accurately gave it away...... I've finally got around to ordering my mafless tune and duspeed OTRCAI.... goods should be turning up sometime next week...
Not sure if i should colourcode the intake or just leave it 2k gloss black that it gets sent out as
Intake and tune turned up this week. Makes a big improvement on both power and drivability, before there was a dead spot around 2500rpm which has gone.
Definately worth the $$$, if you're considering it. Do it!
As for the Duspeed OTRCAI, its a really good unit, well finished. i work in an automotive store and everyone i work with were very impressed with how it is finished for a fibreglass product.
nice ride mate, just wondering if the gauge holder your using is the genuine holden one, or if youve found a non genuine one?
Engine bay looks the goods.
I think an alloy filler tank for the radiator would set it off perfectly.
I was wondering how the manifold would look colour coded today actually, as I have a Quicksilver SS myself. I think I might get it done now.
Hey, its not a genuine one. I got it off ebay, the company was selling it cheap because it was supposidly damaged. there are 2 little marks in it which are hardly noticable.
Only problem that i have with it is that it doesn't quite sit into place properly and is quite loose but thats probably an adjustment issue.
From memory it was around $100 and the gauges are $60 each
Cheers on your comment, its appreciated.
I tried to smooth out all of the ripples and the casting marks on the intake, took a few hours of sanding to get it done. could have done with a bit more sanding in places but overall im very happy with the result, definately brightens up the engine bay.
What did you use to do it?
2k or just pressure pack that was close enough?
Yeah sounds good. Just thought I'd ask because photo's always make things look awesome.
Where'd you pick the intake up from?
The intakes a DUSPEED intake. (I think I'm allowed to promote his product on the forum).
They're worth $725 posted to your door, although may depend on freight charges to your area.
If you search in google they have a website which will give you his phone number.
Cheers bud.
I'm just hunting around for the most stardardish looking OTR at the moment. Alloy ones are cool, but stick out like monkies nuts.
nice ride mate..liike the 2pack black engine covers and the otr..very good look
For those out there that are interested in the stereo side of things, I've finally got around to finishing it off.
Speaker wise went with the Kenwood eXcelon series splits (KFC-X1730p) for both front and rear. Front tweeters went into the factory locations in the dash and the rear ones i cut into the parcel tray where the 6x9s would go.
next job, wait for a tyre to arive, had a screw go through the sidewall of one of my 20's the other day, so got crappy 18's on the rear. tyres not expected to turn up until first week of december and get front bar and bonnet painted.
Got new tint done today. got 18% carbon. in my opinion it looks a lot better than the old stuff, a lot darker as well. New tyre has arrived in stock from when i had a screw through the sidewall on one of them, get that fitted back up tomorrow. Will have my 20's backbeen a month with 18's on the rear, had enough of them.

Very nice SS, looks like you have put alot of work into this soo far.. love the Engine Bay, looks really good
Love the quicksilver Commys.
Engine bay looks slick,clinically clean.
Also on an update note. Stinger 200amp dual battery isolator arrived today, now just waiting on the battery terminals to arrive and i can get my battery tray and optima yellow top battery which will go in the passenger of the engine bay where the factory airbox was.
Very nice indeed - love the engine bay, the OTR looks ex factory!!
Well its been a while and taken me a long time to get organised to finish off the battery system, but I have not got it 90% fitted (just need to run the link wire between the isolator and primary battery). Though I would post up an update.
(Isolator solenoid is mounted up underneath the second batteries tray)
Oh hey...I know you, your the dude that works at autobarn.
Looks like you've done some serious wiring there.
well its been quite a while since I've posted here so thought I would do a quick update.
Not much has happened lately, cars been off the road for the last week and a half, sent front and rear bumpers off to get resprayed. This meant that the sub boxes and everything. Thought it was the perfect opportunity to start dynamatting the boot.
terrible pic :P
have to finish off the rest of the tyre well tomorrow, but has made a decent improvement already in exhaust resonance through the boot floor and panels vibrating from subs
Chasing opinions also, while the front bumper is being painted, the guy painting asked me if I want to put black grill mesh in the bumper down in the section underneath where the number plate is, what you's think?
