    Default My VY Equipe

Hey guys been ages but i thought I'd finally get my car on here.
Would just like to say this is only my second car. Bought it for $7000 and did have big plans for her but decided I'm just gonna keep her kind of stealth and just do little things, until i can drive a v8 (as I'm on my P's).
Thats why you'll notice i haven't really done external and performance mods.

    Mods so Far:

*Replaced factory alloys with some black ceptors
*Debadged everything but the all important Holden badges.
*Chrome dress rings, nuts and black center caps
*Polished the yellow haze out of the headlights
*Replaced parker and license plate lights with smd LEDs for that bright white look
    *Installed footwell lighting blue
*Installed my double din Pioneer headunit...AVH-P4250DVD
*Kicker splits up front (ks series), Kicker 6x9's in rear doors
*Dual solo baric L7 12" subs, Option Audio OAX2000 amo (2000 wRMS aww yeah)
*Big kicker vinyl on back and front windscreen
*Insulated the boot, sound deadening soon

    Possible Future Mods:

    #Brought OAC160 amp for speakers
    #1/0 stinger wiring ordered
    #Distributor t's bought for boot
#Customize boot space at some point
#Exhaust if I can be bothered, just 2.5 catback
#Lower it also if i can be f'd

Used iphone for pics thats why they are abit hazy.
Got subs installed will post pics asap.

ahh remember the times, first cars. :-) Like your sound system install mate. Forget the vinyl advertising. I know it’s the trend but it advertises for scum as to what to steal from your car. To each their own, just my opinion. Anyway looks like your havin fun. Enjoy!

If I was gonna recommend anyone a sub I'd say kicker ftw...

Updated the wiring in the back of my headunit. Tried to tidy it up and produce better connections.
Just got some shrink wrap and a few connectors from Supercheap

Slowly getting there. Also the masking tape with numbers is because I'm colour blind and everything was
already wired up correct as a friend helped me ages ago.

Nice audio setup. Makes me want to spend more money on mine instead of lowering. Can't have the low pass on my sub higher than 100Hz cos that's the highest high pass I can put on the front speakers for the moment. I put the sub up to 120 the other day which is closer to where I want it and it sounded shit.
Which brings me to my question. What's the go with running speakers in parallel? My idea was to get a new pair of splits for the front and run them off the same channels that power the 6x9's. The other 2 channels are bridged into the sub. Would that work?

Wait...what kind of sub do you have man? Because I don't think you are supposed to play subs at +100hz...my subs only have a range of 20 - 100 and I run the high pass filter at 80hz. So my speakers play all higher freqs and subs play the lower...once I have the 4 channel amp in I'll fine tune the speakers...and get rid of the 6x9's for 6's.
I dunno if that would work mate..you trying to run them in parallel to lower the Impedance?..my 2 cents. Have your 4 channel running ya splits and 6x9's and get a mono block for your sub. That way everything gets adequate power and runs smooth.
Im sure it can be done but I would just get another amp for ya sub...or sell your current amp and get a hybrid 5 channel amp if that's what you're after?

My current projector conversion. Using morimo projectors...I think that's how it's Spelt lol. Pretty much a straight bolt in with a bit of cutting and I also bolted a hid 4300k kit on aswell. Not quite finished but here is a sneak peak of one finished and the parkers on
