so its been a few weeks and still no whine! however its f%^&ing clunking again! very temperamental when it does it! only under light accel and slight turning of the wheels and it feels like something binding up in the rear, or like a flogged out centre bearing (but its not) im thinking its either the axles of diff centre.
i reckon axles because there is alot of rotational free play in them and the diff centre because everything wants to shaft me...
ARGHH!!! so FU%^ING over cars! this close > < to just selling the POS and buying a frigging push bike! just found out that my $200 wideband gauge has had the ####! aswell as the vibration/knock/clunk noise coming from the ass end after putting yet another diff center in! aswell as it being fu%^ing slow for the amount of money thats gone into it!
i dont have the money to maintain this bloody trend of misfortunate events! and just an extra kick in the dick i've got the missus on the sideline doing the i told you so routine! sh%tpissF%ckc$nTcocksuckermotherfu%^ertitsfartturd andtwat!
rant over.......
for now
pretty sure i don't own a l67 calais hahahaha(MY NAME IS ZAC)
nice car dude!
haha cheers zac,
well after having a rant last week ^^^ i decided to put the calais on stands for the week and go over it. found that when the exhaust shop welded up the cat pipes with the twin 2.5" zorst on they made the pipes about an inch to long so when i installed the stock zorst it hit on the lower control arm causing the whole car to vibrate.
also my wideband was replaced under warranty![]()
in other news i got a lend of some 235mt streets for the drags if it stops raining. tyres are set on a 8" steelie with a good 2-3 inches dishcalais looks phat!

Nice rims man. Lol
lol yer some bloke told me i could swap them for the stock calais rims! bahaha they grip up awesome in the dry man! you gonna come out tomorrow if its not rained out?
had a win today, went to the drags not expecting anything as every other time its been a failure!
first 3 runs were 15.4-15.8 so i let it cool for an hour as the intake temps were 54-56degrees. last 3 runs were heaps better with 35 degree intake temps ran a 14.9, 14.89 then i changed the tune a bit and got a fastest of 14.87. so on a hot day with a boot full of subs and spare tyre and a half full tank on a hot ass day, im happy![]()
had a play with the tune and leaned it out a bit then headed to the strip. pb on the first run of 14.62@92mph.
next run i added a bit more timing and got a 14.65@93mph.
3rd run was a screw up. tried launching at 2500 and just errupted in major wheel spin through 1-2.
4th run for the night was against another l67 calais with a W2A cooler and 17psi. got another pb of 14.5@93 (however they stuffed up the times on the slip saying i ran a 13.2@100) and the other calais got a 13.9@99mph. the video for the last race is a little crap as its off a phone but theres nothing like synchronized blower whine haha. i had him until the last 1/4 of the track where his extra 7psi made the difference!
