Also currently in the process of sanding down and touching up my rims from all the gutter rash, I'll post before and after pics,

and im going to buy some calliper and hub paint next week, I finally decided on red seeing as I know it will look good and I'm worried yellow won't look good against the rims,

    I'll keep youse updated....

so sort of an update i guess lol

my girlfriends older brother backed into my ute today with her parents $80'000 lexus, two big dents in the drivers side panel near the tailight and the quarter bumper underneath, ill post some pics of it up when i get a chance, but im not to worried about it considering i scratched up the bottom quarter reversing out from behind their house lol, but everyone makes mistakes

in other news ive ordered my sub box from a bloke in brisbane who customs makes them, pretty good for $100 considering the ugly autobarn boxes are at least $150
and ive ordered my sub from marty at fhrx studios in sydney, the polk mm1040 svc, so that should be here next this week all ready for me to install which im excited about

so ill post pics of sub install, and damage soon

here are some pics of the damage, only taken off my phone but:

    My ute:

The Lexus (sorry about finger in pic, didnt even realise it was their until i loaded it to my computer haha) :

and a small scratch on the light, but lexus lights are pretty much bulletproof, the take alot to be destroyed, the lights half the reason for so much damage to my ute

That isnt as bad as i thought it was going to be, still a bloody shame that it happened though, but getting repaired at a good panel beater will look like there hasnt been anything done to it

Yeah we thought it would be worse haha yeah the panel beater is my girlfriends family friends and they are pretty good, plus he backed into it where I already damaged that bottom panel from backing into a tap so this way it will all get fixed up lol

@ whitesack yeah it is, now i just need someone to back into the front bumper haha hows your car searching going mate?

    UPDATE:

few pictures from when i sanded down the gutter rash in my rim and clear coated, really happy with how it turned out as you can only see a couple small scratches when you look really closely at the wheels

    Before:

    After:

that was my most damaged rim, still a few deep scratches that couldnt be sanded out but 100x better than before, also if anyone noticed i painted my brakes i ended up just going red with black hubs, i thought about doing the calipers yellow but i think it would make the wheels look crap

your rides look pretty nice whitesack, will be good to see them get modded lol

    UPDATE:

    my doof doof arrived today

i temporarily installed it behind the passengers seat until i get my new 4 gauge wiring kit from knukonceptz so i can relocate the amp to the passengers side

i had a quick tune of it and it pumps great, definatly worth the money and vibrates the whole ute cab lol just gotta properly tune it to get the best mix between the sub and the front speakers soon

i also ordered some multi colour LED strips for the footwells and puddle lights so hopefully they arrive soon aswell

Looks good man, with such a small space it would go hard, yeah I'm looking forward to modding them mainly the ss but the surf is getting done first haha

Cheers, yeah it's great I was worried at first with it being a sealed box and ten inch woofer, that it wouldn't hit the lows that some of my music plays, but it goes great haha I have it on an external boost adjustment aswell so when I wanna hear a lot of bass I just turn it up, then turn it down so it blends nicely with the music lol

Yeah that's fair enough getting the surf done first if it's a daily driver you wanna be comfy, my mate used to have one that sounded beast and had big muddys on it, we had some fun...

    @ blacky

thanks mate, ive wanted one of these since i was like 14 haha

i bought it privately it cost me $22500, it was the cheapest in the best condition i could find, but that was almost a year ago so i think they are a bit under $20000 now

also first page is pretty much what it had on when i bought it

also in other news, work on the ute has been slow cos ive been pretty busy of late plus saving for a trip to nelsons bay

i got the gauges all in and working, ill do a pic/video when i get a chance

knukonceptz wiring kit is all in and sounding good, still got static issues which i cant seem to track down and is annoying me however

my plans for now are to fix up scratches on the front bar, then when i get back from holidays ill be getting some SSL springs and monroe shortened shocks for the back, HID reverse lights and Narva ultra white/blue globes for all my front lights so they match the DRLs

then after that ill probably stop and start saving for a thunder in the same colour when im off my P's in september

oh, and in other news dint is hopefully getting fixed up next week, ill keep everyone updated

cheers for looking and leave me some comments/critisicm or just your general thoughts

Looking good mate, was in at Holden getting my ss checked over today an I layed eyes on a new ve ss ute, all I can say is I'm not spending money on the ss an I'm gonna become a ute person again in 10/12 months haha love the utes an youll love the v8

@blackly, I sold my Vz ute, this color just before Christmas, was lowered, 19's an a exhaust, with only 43k on the clock an I got 18k so they are still a bit but defs worth it, miss mine something chronic

I was to eager to get a car and bought a vs, but after finding this forum and seeing all the utes has made me wish I kept saving and bought something similar to this babe.
I wanted a Vz but didn't have the cash and parents didn't want to risk helping me pay that much incase of a crash etc :/

That's still alright man, still a good car to start with, and you can work on it and learn new stuff that you can then use or your next car which could be a vz ute

I started with a 98 Holden rodeo, and I drove the crap outta that thing and put it through all sorts of stuff, but it never died on me it was great, then as I got over hooning around and doing silly stuff and I had a full time job and I had been 18 for about 6 months I bought this

Sometimes it's better to start with older car that can take a bit of punishment or is at least not as expensive when something does happen, and when you get your newer better car it makes you appreciate so much more, especially if you work hard and pay for it yourself

    PICS!!!

Thats where the dint used to be, it looks immaculate now you wouldnt even know it happened, so stoked

these are the new exhaust tips, its just a single inlet to dual outlet but it looks good, and the straight pipe actually made it a bit louder and deeper which surprised me, for $200 i couldnt be happier with it

these are my gauges, from left to right i have vacuum, oil pressure and volt

keen to hear your opinions and feedback so cheers for looking
