hey got my car sitting about an inch higher than yours is
and the rear left keeps scrubbing like a bitch
but the problem is, i cant see where its scrubbing, i dont see any tyre on the guard, could it possibly be scrubbing on the plastic inner guard? or the stone guard?
p.s. my guards arent rolled yet, but dont see a point in rolling if its not hitting the guard
Does it only scrub when u hit a bump while driving? if so it prob is cause your guards aren't rolled.. I doubt it's the inner guards cause mine only hit the inner guards when i hit a really big bump or have 3 people in the back and hit a bump... you would have to jack it up and maybe take the wheel off to find out!
it has a tiny little rubbing noise over tiny bumps and hard acceleration (when no one but me is in the car), and when i got a passanger its constantly rubbing on something
and then a different scrubbing noise over big bumps
only problem is that i cant see where on the tyre or guard that its scrubbing =(
yeah tomorrow if i get time ill jack it up and have a look
my guess so far is the rear bumper bracket as its only got like 2-3mm clearance, got sydney guard rolling coming around in the next couple days to roll the guards
sorry for hijaking the thread :P
wow this car is ####ing sick man, well done, hope i can get mine looking like that one day
Thanks Coxxy =D
I have some big plans for the car in the new year when I get back from OS....
Stay tuned for updates![]()
So the car is full stock spec for now as I just cleared another canary!! I will be leaving it like this for about a month or so.........
In the mean time I will be getting my rims powder coated black and just collecting a few bits for the car (HBD lip & HSV bonnet strip) before the car goes to the paint shop to get the flutes in and bonnet/ bar resprayed.
The biggest update in the next month though will be bags all round from TSS including front and rear with accuair self leveling (with touch pad), 3/8" lines, twin 480c compressors & a 5gallon tank. Which will be fully engineered aswell.
Also started the black conversion and painted my badge the other day..
So some pretty big updates coming upCant wait..

Nice man, you going with the TSS kit aswell? bit pricey but will be worth it![]()
not sure about where your at, but engineered bags are only engineerable because the car lifts to legal height while driving, if you drive with it lowered you can still be defected
atleast thats what its like in sydney
Check out my VZ SS =D
yeah thats fair enough but i reckon you could just sneak with it lowered then when cops are around or its a busy weekend and theres plenty out just lift them up lol
im keen to hear how the bags go as im seriously considering installing them in my next ute which will be a vz thunder v8 (no point doing it to my current one if i sell it in a year aye haha)
you can get rear drop in bags with controls in the boot and no switches in the cabin, and i dont think it needs to be engineered? but still, driving aired out, voids the engineers cert either way and you will cop a defect for it, not good for your bags to drive that low anyway
Check out my VZ SS =D
i agree this is so sexy, great work mate
There's a bit of a gloss black theme going on now..
That's all i got atm.. will get better pics at some stage this w.e![]()

love the black supersports!, how do you post pics up like that instead of them coming up as attachments?
meh i thought it looked better with the HSV rims on it. IMO
read through the whole thread. looks like a very nice car. where did you get the new cluster??
cars lookin' mint man. have to say i liked the ve gts (mostly the shadow chrome over black) on it better though.
nathans VY Calais - 'Calais 2.0' | VT Equipe | VS Calais **SOLD!**
Thanks guys... everyone has different tastes, I personally think the current wheels suit it perfectly & look amazing. Pictures don't do them any justice though.
The black also goes better with the whole theme i've got going on..
I got rid of the GTS for 2 reasons, one because they're too common and fairly old now & secondly because I just got over them and wanted a change! will prob do the same with these in time
Got my SV6000 flutes yesterday, those along with the bonnet lip I bought will be getting put on by my panel beater on Monday.
also got some new exhaust tips put on the other day which look nice and clean![]()
