    Default Axemurderer's Vy SS

    Name: Marc
Model: 2003 Vy SS Series 2
    Colour: White
    Bodykit: Standard SS kit
    Engine Type: LS1
Engine Mods: VCM Otr and SQP Mafless tune
Exhaust: Difilippo extractors and Difilippo twin 3inch system
Gearbox: Manual 6 Speed with ripshifter and super short stick.
    Diff: 3.9 gears
    Brakes: Standard
    Suspension: Standard
    Wheels/Tyres: 18" Roh Prowlers
Interior: Full Black with leather, Raptor shift light
    Other Mods: H4 Hid's
    Stereo: Eclipse AVN726ea dvd player
    Cost: Paid $20,900 with 86,000ks
Future Mods: Get it lowered, maybe some black 20"s, window tint, and putting my audio gear from my old car into this one.

Thought i might aswell start a page for my SS which i bought around july 2010, when i bought it it was all stock so i put my rims from my old car on it as the stock ss ones had heaps of gutter rash. First major upgrade was a full difilippo twin 3 inch exhaust, OTR and a mafless tune done by Street Quick Performance which really livened it up as the tuner said it was running pretty bad when he first put it on the dyno and it shows in the dyno sheet. Next mod was a ripshifter which i fitted myself and made shifting much easier. After that i fitted an eclipse double din dvd player which has everything like bluetooth, gps, ipod control basically everything.
I also installed a raptor shift light at the same time.
Next i installed some 55w hid's for the lowbeams, i do plan to get some for the high beams in the future.
After that i had some 3.9 diff gears and lsd tightened up by WA Diffs.
Then bought a new shift knob to replace the old worn one and bought a super short gear stick which makes it sit really low.
I then bought an Elite oil catch can and fitted that up.
And latest fitted some autometer gauges.

Well here are some pics i have.

That's it for now, plans are to get a cam upgrade towards the end of the year and maybe an upgraded clutch before that.

yeah would love projectors but would have to plastic weld the teardrops to fit projector lights, i have seen it done and it looks awesome maybe one day. i havnt been flashed by anyone yet, prob cause they dont look blue like the 6000k or higher hids.

nice ss mate, looks good and you would be happy with the power.

How does the shifter feel? i'm tempted to get one as well, much of a difference? is there much play when its in gear or feels pretty firm? worth the 500 or so?

definately worth the money, and there is hardly any movement in the shifter when its in gear and just feels more precise when shifting gears

took me a few hours after work one day by myself. hardest part is unbolting the old shifter and bolting the new shifter onto the transmission just because of where a couple of bolts are, you can lower the transmission with a trolley jack which i did and that helps a bit. there is a few write ups floating around on the internet.

I actually don't mind that tyre, i've used it a few times and for the money (and compliance) its a really solid performer imo. Good choice mate.

Haha that's cool Looks alot better lower down. SL's all you really need to go to to suit the rims.

Gone a good way with the car man.
