Haha... I didn't save any money as such. My budget was 8K so I talked them down to 8K. I'm actually a touch over budget as *k was supposed to be boat and some bits for it.
Not sure about what I will end up doing with the wheels. Thinking maybe 20's in the future but no plans as such. The other day I had a crazy idea about those wheels they put on the VE Group A things. Could be interesting.
Cheers.
Yeah, my fiancee refuses to drive anything but manual. Which is good I guess. Last night when she got back she was like "You know, your car it quite nice to drive once you get used to it..." Now I'm worried.
Yeah, the ripshifter was a challenge for my fiancee too. Ironically she said that 3rd was the hardest gear to shift into.![]()
^ They look great on the VE but I can't say I'd like them on your car.
It's so beautiful as is.

It could work , would be different thou lol

Get a room! Oh wait... no doing get a room... stya away form my car!
I think it could work. Though at the moment I'm just spitballing as it's going to be AGES before I look to actually getting new rims. The SSZ's have grown on me with time. Might just get them touched up and be happy for a while.
Hmm... I can definately see that working.
That reminds me, I REALLY need to get some more current pictures. I lowered the back ages ago yet have not taken pictures... what's up with that?![]()
Just a thought, but why not get the SSZs powder coated white? 60 bucks a wheel and they'll look WAY nicer than the manky aero do-overs. (not a fan of the aeros, just to be clear)
Jesterarts i can not be bothered going through this thread to find my answer haha. But i've decided to keep my clubby and diff gears are the next mod. At 100km/h what rpm do you sit on in 6th with the 4.11's? Thanks boss![]()
lol... already posted the answer in your thread mate.
But, pretty much sit bang on 1950rpm @ 100kmph in 6th.
For a toy, go 4.11's. For a daily, 3.9's or 3.73's.
yeh thats understandable, like me, if someone throws the right amount of cash yeh they can have it, otherwise im happy for it to sit in the garage
Yep, exactly it. Thought I am going to have to buy myself a dust cover for my birthday this year. The thing is SOOO dusty at the moment. Haven't been driving it because I've been busy with wedding stuff for the last 3 weeks, won't drive it this weekend because there are a few more wedding items to take care off, weekend after that is wedding, then honeymoon. So it's just sitting there getting dusty.
First time it comes out after the honeymoon will be late march and that will be to go in for a service... lol.
If you sell it, what will replace it mate?

No idea. No plans as yet. Probably another project but a cheaper one so I can use some cash to do up my backyard and stuff.
But honestly, haven't really given it any thought.
Lol... yeah I have been to the shops. But I can't justify taking 300rwkw to the shops and back. A trip that is about 5min. Doesn't even get a chance to warm up.
Haha if i had that car i would be finding any excuse to drive it!! anyhow good luck with future plans![]()
the thing is, while its a very nice car im sure it guzzles the fuel spesh with all the engine work...if i was to drive mine everyday to work ill be spending more on petrol then i actually make for that week hence its a weekender
jest, i got a pretty awesome car cover for xmas, material is soo damn soft i could sleep in it...best thing about it...its red so the dust just flys off
cant remember the brand tho i gotta check the box in the shed

Yeah, mine is the same... it's an unforgiving dog to drive when it's not warmed up... after about 20min once temps are up then it's a dream.
Plus since it sits in the garage for a week or more between drives I like to give it a few min warmup when I start it so all the oil that would have drained down through the engine has a chance to get back into all the nooks and crannies before I put load on it.
I like to do the same thing.. My tuner reccomended a 3-4 min warm up.. But like yours, its alot easier to drive after the first 10-15 mins.. All more reasons why the 'quick trip to the shops' just isnt practical..
