Future Mods:
You can imagine the step up to a 285kw LS1 from an Ecotec.. It's staggering. Even from my L67 the LS1 rips the 6. So engine mods are on the back burner until I get bored, one thing I want to change first is the exhaust, I'm in the same boat as Jesterarts, the X-Force does the job until I have the money to upgrade.
Soon:
Sill plates
New factory gear knob
Would like to have the headunit modified to have Aux.
Down the line:
New exhaust
OTRCAI
Cam... maybeish
Mafless Tuned
Coilovers. As I intend to do some track stuff.
Not much else, very happy with everything.
Pictures. (These are the CarSales pictures the seller took, except the bonnet up one)
My New Clutch
Note the line coming from the slave cylinder, That is a speed bleeder I made to make bleeding these clutch systems a 1 man 10 min job. I am selling them, PM if you're interested (I'm a Sponsor).
Slave.

This car just furthers my desire to one day own a clubby. Sounds so good. Nice and quiet on idle, but nice note when you give it a bit. Could be louder though. That's just me. haha
A Commodore is a passion. Anything else is just a car
Thanks for the positive comments guys,
Jest, I am unsure whether I will be going to c4c as of yet. Will let ya know though.
Sweefu, I am also keen for more pictures and general ramblings...
Duk, it is pretty loud as it is, I had to be quiet in the vid as my neighbour whines about be waking her baby up.. Which is fair enough. I'll do another one at some point with a bit more curry.
Essassin, as far as I know it was just the colour coded kit, but it also gets the binnacles.
Cheers
Ben

3.08 LSD, 1.9.1 High Ratio Rockers, MACE CAI, Spacers
Went to Spare Parts today and bought a couple of things.
Sill Plates.
Installed.
Plate Surrounds.
Don't really need to see them installed do you...
Also Some basic interior shots to give you an idea.
Also a boot shot. The silver thing in bottom left is a HSV Briefcase, it has my tools in it. White Bag is the Car-Bra.
Also you may notice that the Extinguisher isn't there.. Some one with a VY-Z Clubby give me some specs so I can source a new one...)
Latest Update: I'm dropping the t56 down tomorrow, will be chaning fluid and installing the new Tex clutch and slave cyl. Will also do the "Drill Mod" and do a full bleed of the system using my flashy braided bleeder.

Great car mate, I'm hitting 157 000 km on the clock, never missus a beat. Maf tune, catback, auto with 3.73 gears. 317kw manual clubbies get me by a car length so I better add a small cam in the mix soon lol. Definitely get a tune, different car when you get them back!
OK so W.E Update.
Since I have nothing better to do I took some pictures of the clutch install. Might help someone down the line...
Box Down.
Inside Bellhousing.
Closer.
Old Clutch, Love the hotspots on the PP...
Old Fly, Also with the hotspots.
Clean Rear Main.
New Flywheel.
Closer.
New Textralia in.
New slave fitted and gearbox cleaned.
For everyones reference I guess, what you'll see at the shifter. Reference if installing a GMM Ripshifter...
I am still going slightly easy on the clutch, but did give some curry and it is so, so, so much better than the worn factory.
Wog, You will be very happy with it I would guess. No chatter at all and pedal feels awesome. It even feels lighter in my case, I think because my slave was so fubar'd, easy to drive..
Can't wait to go do some track runs.
*** Speaking of track runs, has anyone had any experience with widths and offsets I can run to put a slick/semi-slick on for circuit/drag runs. I was thinking of buying a set of the factory 18's and putting some semi's on for circuit..? What are peoples experiences?***
Cheers

Shame you're letting the Clubby go... that was a short lived venture into V8 world.
Been in V8's my whole life mate, really isn't anything new to me, been in V8's a lot quicker than my Clubby. Turbo 6's on the other hand....![]()
