    Default Ocsar the SS

So here is the new addition to the family.

The Mrs has named it it Oscar.

    Its an 03 VY SS
    Hothouse green
    6 speed manual
    Lowered
19 inch Ox wheel ox653's (First set in the country)
Stainless exhaust, ceramic coated, twin 3 inch with high flow catbacks
    Leather interior
    Kenwood dnx 7320 head unit

It will be going on the dyno soon and getting a MAF-less tune and cold air intake.
I also am going to put some spacers behind the wheels so they sit flush with the guards.
i'll see how that all goes before deciding what to do after that.

P.S. i didn't find this area till i was told about it and i put it in the vy section so if any mod wants to delete the other one... would be good. thanks.

was wondering if any one has used these kits or dealt with this company before.
Performance Car Parts - D2 Holden/HSV VT-VU-VX-VY-VZ 8 Piston Front Big Brake Kit (356X32mm Discs)

it will look heaps better full of brake and i have a f1-r procharger kit coming for it so i need to get the stopping bit in order first.

    Looks good so far.

You're one of the only people I've seen actually do the brakes before performance.

The way it should be, but we're all too power hungry :P

Just a note, try posting up with [IMG] tags, as links suck.

    so time for an update
what iv'e done is stuff all but i do have a growing pile of parts. i'm going to wait for it to get big enough then take a week of and go to town on it.

    what i'v done so far:
got a free dyno tune FTW
    10% underdrive kit
    heavyduty exedy single plate

    whats in the pile:
    3.9 diff center
higgins ported heads (11.1/1 comp ratio)
ramjet otrcai (still deciding if i want to get rid of it for a 8 throttle body velocity stack manifold)
    harrop big brake kit
ripshifter (but i did find a sequential shifter that converts a "H" pattern but i think it will suck on the street like that)

    things still to get:
cam but i need to work out what specs (any idea it will be a road/circuit car)
strut brace (any recomendations) and some stiffer sway bars

    things i'm looking into:
need to work out if this is going to push the injectors to 100% duty cycle or not and if it does what to replace them (and possibly fuel pump) with
also been looking (but not seriously) at the motec m800

i'm not all that interested in final numbers on a dyno sheet i just want to build a brawler n/a engine that will be good on the track, but also be usable on the street, i might take it to the strip once to see how it goes as well.

once its all done i'll truck it in, have it all tuned and see how i go but i'm hoping i'll be happy with it because the only thing left after that really is a stroker kit which is a pain in the %^&*

there is probably stuff i forgot but i'll put that up later.
