Nice car mate, I did the same thing to my front grill.
Love the carbon fibre centre console.
nice work mate
how did you go about the LED's on the headlights?
Thanks lads.
@eddy if you know how to read schematics, wamboin23 put a post up here that I used. I also added in an extra switch between the '30' terminal and DRLs for manual over-ride off switch.
Another note is that the schematics has the 'on' at post '85' to headlights, however to be completely ADR compliant "DRL's must turn off when any other lights are turned on", you should run the feed off your park lights instead; so your DRLs turn off when your parkies turn on.
Alternatively, that ADR statement could be open to interpretation (i.e. it doesn't specifically state 'forward facing'), so you could still wire them to your headlights as per the original plan, but just disconnect your park light bulbs; as another ADR ruling is that a vehicle can only have one pair of forward facing park lights.
Probs more info than you were expecting ay![]()
Yeah I research it a bit as I've heard a few people have been booked for incorrect wiring of DRLs.
I got the LEDs off of ebay for $10 and 2 relays from Jaycar for $6ea. pulled the front bumper off and LEDs are stuck to the bottom of the lights with doublesided tape.

Lowered suspension now fitted.
While I was at it also did a bit of a service:
- engine, gearbox, diff, brake & clutch fluids
- oil and fuel filters
- O2 sensors
- Plugs & Leads (NGK Iridium plugs & Taylor 10.4mm leads)

Nice clean car mate. Where abouts in Brissy are you? Big fan of the drl, they look great.
You sure have enough TVs in the car. But car looks good.
Cheers guys
AusFitter - Northside; there's a Just Commodores meet on Tuesday nights at Bunnings Stafford if ya feel like getting to know the locals.
like the carbon fiber where did you get it from ?
I will check out the meet up at stafford as i only live 10mins down the road, but wont be able to make it for a week or so, damn surgery lol
Very Clean.. Hows the ride quality in these on superlows? Fe2 is too high lol
@madvnss, ebay mate, the di-noc stuff is the good stuff for outdoors use.
@Hillzzy, definitely need to pay attention to the road more ay. it's a bit of tit-for-tat really; a lot firmer ride to the FE2, you really feel everything on the road; on the plus side the thing grips like cat on carpet now. Some corners I can go round more than 20km/h faster that what I could've done with the old suspension.
thanks mate![]()
Installed the new stereo audio/video setup last weekend
waiting on a couple little connectiviy parts to complete the install (like powered video splitter and SWI-X module for steering control); once I've got it fully sorted will post some more pics.
