Default 2004 VZ SV6 - The Red Rocket!

This is my '04 sv6, purchased in November 2010. My brother-in-law's mate who's a cop nicknamed it the red rocket so it stuck

    Name:
    Andrew

2.5" Catback with a lukey ultra-flow muffler and magnaflow resignator.

    Gearbox:
    5 Speed Auto

    Diff:
    Standard

    Brakes:
    Standard

    Suspension:
    FE2

    Wheels/Tyres:
    Stock

    Interior:
    Stock

    Sound System:
    Pioneer HU
    Fusion 4x6.5" speakers
    Fusion 1200watt amp
    Fusion 2x12" subs

    Other Mods:
    SS pedals
    Removed Spoiler
Gear stick and handbrake painted silver
    Engine covers painted
    Just legal tint
    White headlights and foglights
    Red lights above number plate

    Future Mods:
    19" rims

This is when I had LEDs but the one underneath my right headlight started playing up after a month or so, so I took them both out

This is when I just took the spoiler off!

I bought the exhaust from impulsive, legend of a bloke, installed it for me and everything!

Here's a clip of what the exhaust sounded like on impulsive's blue sv6 (hope he doesn't mind), sounds the same on mine

Yeah I saw that! Very nice, you have one of the best looking sv6s going around IMO I'm kind of torn, part of me wants to stop spending money on it and save up for an SSV but it's so tempting to keep doing stuff to it

no chance mate but the plan is over the next couple of years to get a house at gladstone/bundy with a nice clean SSV (exhaust, rims, lowered, tune etc) while I keep the red rocket here while I work

it's pretty bangin, i was standing out the front of a mates place one night after drinking and my girlfriend came to pick me up in my car, i heard it coming from at least 300m away and it was nowhere near as loud as it could be I'll get a video up of my sound system and exhaust one day

definitely gains up top, i remember initially thinking if anything it lost a little down low though but i think it's pretty well the same down low, took a while for my gearbox to get use to it though, it was as though i had power mode on for the first couple of days when i didn't lol

Yes i have the same issue with the 'loss down low' i think because the standard exhaust is 2 1/4? so changing it to 2 1/2 inch might of caused it?
    But i'm no expert lol

0-100 vids, lost traction at the start cos it was a cold night. Didn't realise my phone cut off the last 1-2 seconds of each vid

this is my exhaust note on my SV6.... phone quality so it sounds pretty average. but u get a basic idea. btw thats cold start idle. not normal idle.

If you want to hear it properly i'll hunt down a decent camera. and leave it recording for cold start and to warm idle. and a rev. maybe a driveby if i can be bothered.

btw... my 3rd exhaust. lmao oh and i've broken it 3 times as well...

Oh and clean looking SV6 bro. ignore the dam v8 boys till you can afford and mod to the shit a v8.
