    Default Vy Spac series 2

    Howdy

Thought I'd throw up a few pics. Taken some time to get to this point. The cash just doesn't flow, so not as flash as some. I love her but hehe

K&N Panel filter w/2nd 3" port(ducted) +standard OTR (going to be enclosed pod in future)
Laser cut stainless steal high polished intake heat shield
    MSD Blaster Ignition coil packs
10mm Top Gun Pro Series spark leads
    NGK Irridium plugs
    Sports extractors
Custom single 2.5" Straight through sports exhaust
    High flow stainless steel cat
    Automatic transmission - 460Le + Shift kit
Slotted and drilled rotors(not on pics shown)
    MACE Recalibrated Computer/PCM(Inc Auto characteristics)

Vy Spac series 2-img_0953.jpgVy Spac series 2-img_0958.jpgVy Spac series 2-img_0959.jpgVy Spac series 2-img_0952.jpgVy Spac series 2-img_0962.jpg
Vy Spac series 2-img_0967.jpgVy Spac series 2-img_0968.jpgVy Spac series 2-img_0966.jpg

No idea on power at the moment but definately running better than stock(152fwkw).
Heads and turbo/Supercharger are future possibilities with diff gears(3.45's or 3.7 if i cant find em) to come beforehand then stally after everything else.
Maybe one day wheels and a lowering, but due to the state of Brisbane roads not high on the priority list.

    Cheers

Im thinking thats for alloytecs and the 8's only regarding powerbond. I know that Mace sell different powerbond harmonic balancers for ecotecs. There is also Clarko's Pulleys for ecotecs. V6 Billet Alloy pulleys - Group buy

Looks the goods man. Did you see an increase with just putting the MSD coils on? I'm just curious as I've never thought about changing them.

Nah, can't say there was anything noticable. Although they do provide a stronger spark for better detonation. Maybe a poofteenth of performance lol

My remote tune should be coming this week. Will be interesting

hi mate, nice ride, i like

Did you notice much power difference when you fitted up the new pushrods + rockers?

Im going to be buying a mild cam and 1.9:1 rockers soon courtesy of yella terra + crow cams and just wanted to know if it was worth forking out all that money or not.

    Cheers, Al

Hey Al, New rockers and pushrods you will notice a difference. It's like having a cam to obtain more lift without the expense. Car breathes better for sure. Cams sound good but and provide a little more performance over rockers as they change duration and so on to be more agressive. If money is no problem, cams are better way to go imo. Some people get a lumpier cam to obtain lift and stick with the standard ratio rockers. Each to there own i spose.

Awesome, so sounds like it will be worth forking out the dosh once its all saved up and i book it in to get it all done

btw, how much were the coil packs if you dont mind me asking? they look really good, wouldnt mind a set on mine. Pm me if you do not wish to show pricing on here and are ok with telling me the price

Again, awesome car, really like it

$180 on ebay is what I've just seen.. MSD coils with NGK blue leads would look weird in my engine bay haha!

I got standard rockers in mine with the cam.. I can't go 1.98:1 rockers with the cam otherwise it's too much lift. Highest i can go is 1.75:1 rocker ratio. Stock is 1.6:1.. I would say alot more lift means more lift on the cam.. probably make it more lumpy and more POWAA haha.

Sure will Heronvy. Just need to find a decent place in brisbane to do the dyno. Since dyno's vary from dyno to dyno, i want to try get one done somewhere a lot of people get it done to get a better idea. If that's possible lol. IMO the 1/4 mile is the best dyno there is

Yeah i would say they made a difference. It's not like huge, but they did. Every little bit helps. Have you read what each thing does on MACE's website by any chance?

Goto a smaller business for dyno, someone no one regulary goes to. They will be less likely to provide you with a happy dyno sheet. Big HP brings in the customers.. Matt Stocker in browns plains seems to be fairly trustworthy in my opinion

LOL happy dyno sheet. But i want inflated figures too hahaha .I just thought even if it wasn't so accurate it would still be comparable with other ppls over inflated dyno figures. . But as i said before, the 1/4 is the best dyno there is. It won't lie
