- Well I plan on getting a double-DIN dvd headunit with satnav
- upgrade speakers and put a couple 12inch subs
- 20" supersports or Predators painted white and ofcourse lower it more
Then when the real money starts coming in:
- 3.9 diff gears
- eventually cammed


Well guys, this is my new car, till about 1-1.5 months ago, i was driving a 2003 Subaru Liberty, had wrx 17's on it, lowered with a big bass system. In January i got off my p-plates and was on the hunt for the right car.
Looked at Mazda 6 MPS's, 200sx's, couple WRX's (insurance threw me off), even thought of something trippy like a jeep wrangler or even an Audi a4, and the whole time in the back of my head wanting an SS but telling myself petrol and insurance will be a killer.
Took a mates vy for a drive, loved it, his fuel economy wasn't as bad as the rumours i was hearing so then decided i really wanted an SS and the hunt began.

Battered ones, and then the odd "it's too good to be true" like an 06 6ltr with 22,000kms selling for $21,000 at a dealership, and if i was to get that a small help from the parents would have been needed but my dad just couldnt believe it.
Found this white one, after some negotiations got the price to $15g, then the owner told me there was a lease on it
after a few more days of talking he needed to pick up his new car, but couldnt till the lease was paid, spoke to my fathers accountant and came up with a way to buy the car with the least amount of risk in regards to the Lease.
The owner got the car valued at trade in, and was willing to let it go to me for the same price, $13,500
Sale was made, and after a 11 year obsession with v8's and debates with myself over the thought of owning an SS without a job, FINALLY had my own SS

People say should have gotten one in manual, or should have gotten a 6ltr, or with sunroof or whatever, but for the price i paid, with 89,000kms and a year rego, really couldnt go wrong.

Let me know what you guys think, any suggestions you might have or anything like that.
Oh and when it comes to the future plans, don't expect any of the big plans happening till next year because i'm still at uni, once this semester is over then start looking for any kind of work i can get and start saving

I feel sorry for those in NSW...those yellow plates are hideous!! Not that the Vic standard issue ones are much better, but the yellow is horrid. Get some slimline white ones
Some VZ R8 rims would look nice, they are pretty similar to supersports but 19".

yeah ive seen them, considered them until the only place i found selling them wanted $4,000

i was even thinking of something like STANCE WHEELS EVOLUTION 535I - YouTube! but the only thing that puts me off is i want the rears to have the concave, but the concave is only on the 10" wides

yeah true,ive still got my old car a 2007 swift on 17's and i had 1" tuck rear and 3/4" tuck on the front so yeah was a b!tch to get over speed bumps and what not lol,but got done by police for too low it was 60mm to the lowest point lol, so now she isnt as low,im thinking SL or just Lows front SL rears but will wait till i get some rims

$12,600+ was raised for the Starlight Foundation, had a great cruise, and i heard approximatly 600-700 cars were there, and only 2-3 misbehaved

Since the last post ive gotten the car lowered, he didnt do the fronts proper so didnt take a full pic yet, but the rear is sitting perfect

also got 20inch KMC Vent wheels, when i can find a place to do it, they will be coming off and the dish will be painted white to match the car

i think they'd suit your car even more if it was de-spoilered or replaced with a bobtail spoiler

looks good man, if you put vz calais tail lights on you have to cut into your bumper to make them fit. the executive, berlina, calais and hsv are bigger than the sv6 and ss tail lights, just for the heads up
