    Default Macca's VZ SV6

Well after an enjoyable ownership of a WRX for a while, I have returned to the Holden camp. Had a VT 5L SS before the wrx and now picked up my new car today.
    Name: Macca
    Model: Sept 2004 VZ SV6
    Colour: Heron White
    Odometer: 178000
    Bodykit: SV6 standard
    Engine Type: Alloytec 190
    Exhaust: 2.5" Cat back
Gearbox: 5 speed auto with A/S
    Brakes: Standard
    Suspension: Standard FE2
    Interior: Standard
Sound System: Stock atm but this will be one of the first things to change
Extras: Imported? (so I was told) 20" x 8.5 Ikon Wheels.
Planned future mods when funds allow: Satin inner door handles and vent surrounds, upgrade the sound system, HSV gauge pod install on the dash, lowered, tints and Im sure ill add more to the list soon. lol
Its nothing special but looks tidy and will be a daily driver for me. And hey, its got 12kw more then what my 5.0L VT had. Hahaha

Yeah they are quite deceiving hey. lol.
The fuel economy makes a big change from my WRX that ran 29.5L/100km around town. haha

Yep. Joined back with the Holden flag again mate. Cheers, and yeah I defo want it lower. Hoping it doesnt scub though as it doesnt look like there is much room under the guards if the wheels go up.

Yeah I just noticed your pics with it off. Im gonna leave mine on. lol. Im very much a pro-spoiler kinda guy. Unless on a car thats dropped really low or your going for the sleeper look I reckon it makes a car look more standard.

Well had the VZ on the dyno today just to get a figure of what its putting out completely stock standard as it is. I estimated 180HP. Couldnt have gotten much closer. haha. Ran a 133.8kw, 179.4HP at the wheels.

Nice wheels mate, don't mind the old sv6 in white. This would look good lowered, debadged and tinted. Throw some paint on your brakes too, it helps with stopping power... (where is bigdaddyfool these days??)

Just another though, give your dash some paint, Black middle with white edges would be sweet!

Cheers mate Yeah lowered is first thing on the cards. Nothing outrageous as its a daily so still needs to be practical for driveways etc but def want it lower then it is atm. Dark tint is also on my list. Am still undecided with the badges. lol.

And yeah I have some plans for the middle dash, hopefully some HSV gauges and a 7" touchscreen will appear there in the near future. Once Ive done those I'll look at changing some colours perhaps

Reminds me of my old sv6! Those wheels are so nice, they should look bigger when you lower it.. Especially with ultras it'll tuck

Springs arrived today but wont be going in until my lowered shocks arrive tomorrow lol. Was going to get Monroe GT Sports shocks but ended up going with Ultima HD For Superlow Applications shocks as I got a decent deal on them. Hopefully should be all good.

Well got the rear Ultra lows and shortened shocks in today. Looks sooooo much better already. And isnt anywhere near as rough as I was expecting. Height difference from before and after was just a smidge under 40mm unsettled

    Old and new

And pic is a bit dark but it shows the wheel droop difference between stock (left) and with the shortened Ultima shock (right)
