Nice clubby, love the colour.
Unless you plan on lots of engine mods (large cam) then the exhaust you have is one of the best suited for your current status and even most mild cams.

Nice car and yeah the exhaust is pretty on the money for what you want. As for your licence put the car in the garage until April. Getting busted and losing your licence isn't worth driving a v8 a few months early.
Cheers! Yea has a real nice note too, good to know. And yea, I guess I'll have to wait. It'll be like 3 months of Christmas eve haha. Already
Looking into diff gears, maybe before
April.
Yeah man just wait until your on open lisence or you'll be waiting alot longer. Sweet ride though![]()
Aha coo dawg I'm counting on you to pick it up for me!! Aha, can't trust a Ford or Subaru driver
Yea I reckon diff gears. First thing though, a coupe of visual mods, tail lights, going to go for something darker, the red looks cheap!! HSV mats and sill plates. I've got a month off work coming up and nothing planned, so plenty of time to detail it and take photos! Might use the time to install some 6000K HIDs, you're doing the same hey.
Smoked LED tail lights for HOLDEN Commodore VY 02-04 | eBay
Something like this? Or do you reckon the lighter ones would suit better? Not sure to go with altezza or the smoked SS lights,

nice ride buddy! Did you get the leather interior?
Nahh derro I didn't. I wanted it though. Apparently you can get it reupholstered leather with same seats. Might look into that
First set of tail lights look pretty nice. It might take away from your HSV though. Keep it looking as factory as possible IMO.
Maybe just get your set smoked?
....My Impulse VZ SS....
Keeping it looking factory is one of my biggest wants, but there is just something about those tail lights...
Yea, maybe I will.
Id even be happy with a set of VZ tail lights... If yours go missing, you know why, lol.
i have fitted VY2 Calais tail lights to my senator and just to keep it legal I have also fitted small reflectors.
Calais lights definitely look better than the Berlina ones fitted to HSV Z's

Yea, it's got the GTS pipe, so it's a straight through to the HSV airbox. I've taken out that 90mm cap and run an elbow join from the hole to just under the headlight. Made a bit of a difference but definitely need the OTR and a new tune. So much I want to do but have to wait until I can take it out to get work done!!
That and I'm waiting to sell my current car for some $$$
April's going to be a big month
Installed my HID kits last week. Fog lights and headlights. I've did a write up for the fog lights since there is no info about it anywhere as far as I could see. (Fog lights hid conversion hsv vy)
Here are some pictures! Car is a little dirty but you can't really tell...
Headlight before
After
This is Headlights&foglights
This is just headlights
Then just fog lights
I've found the fog lights to be quite effective but I could just be over enjoying my new toy. In any case I only got them for look, to suit the head lights. I don't use them in traffic or anything. They're just for the look.
It was a fun DIY job and fairly inexpensive.
+1 on this, twin 2.5" is enough unles your chasing 350rwkw+ etc.
Also, don't tune and then save for a cam, wait till you have the cam so you don't have to pay for tuning twice. Considering on average you're looking at around $900 per tune, makes sense. Save yourself $900 now measn you have enough for the cam sooner.
I got those same valve caps less the red bit.
Nice clubby.
Cheers Jester, yea I was thinking what you said about waiting for the tune. Probably will.
Nice, they're who I'm getting most of my work done through. I'm pretty keen to get a tune with the OTR cause I'm thinking about getting it into power play @ Willowbank in May. I'll have it on coil overs, 20s, OTR and diff gear upgrade by then. Not sure if it's going to be tough enough for PP! Pretty keen to just get out there with the monsters though.
I'd get the cam before some wheels - that way you'll learn to calm down before you skid the crap out of some expensive ones.
