    Nice car mate :-)

I wouldnt bother with extractors though, they arent much bigger than the standard headers. Unless youre after the look

    $100 per kw lol..
You sure that wasnt your whole exhaust system making that gain?

I wont be putting em on mine, im happy with the feel and sound of my car now.

but to the op, its worth doing if you have the money around and can see gains in just the extractors and not the full exhaust system

I got 8 RWKW over the whole system.

$100 per KW is actually very cheap. Cams and shit cost you like $5k and you only get like 25-30RWKW on 6's.

Thats why exhaust, extractors and diff gears are 'bang for buck' because they're the best money can buy and easy to do.

Edit: You can get a set of pacemaker extractors for like $470 aswell :P

    5k? You got rorted.
I paid 550 for my crow cam, 770 for rockers, pushrods and 500 labour to fit. Nowhere near the 5k mark.
Although I didnt need to get shift points changed and all that, so I guess that brought the price down a bit.

I do agree with the bang for your buck idea though. Should be the first mod done to.every car I reckon

Yer its hard to work out what to get in what order, being a 1st year apprentice plumber the money is pretty shit.
i was defs thinks rims then springs. but yer my 2.5' has a nice crusin tone so the extractor can either wait or i
    wont bother.

what do you reckon Mace CAI or ss growler kit? is CAI better bang for buck, but i also like the look of the growler.

If youre going CAI id go the mace one everytime and if you feel the need to replace the filter that comes in the kit, you can pick up a k+n pod from supercheap for fairly cheap and put it in place of the saas one thats supplied.

Team up the kit with a bigger throttle body and youll get better response from your throttle.
-well thats what it did to mine anyway

Also will hear a slightly better exhaust note and hear that induction sucking noise under throttle

Yer cheers for that, im going to order the Mace CAI tomorrow. #### paying $450 for pretty much the same thing... ill run the filter for a while see how it goes then when i get some spare cash together ill order the throttle body and get a k+n filter.
i was expecting a better note anyway. My brother just sold his VZ lumina and he just put a pod on it and it made a difference but still sucked hot air.... so i thought i might aswell do it properly to get the
    performance from it

next thing after that would probably be tail lights, just do some cheap stuff while saving for rims.

    cheers again for the help..

Haha Nah man, I didn't pay 5k :P Not even close.

I can't disclose price since I was asked not too by mace, but it only cost me $750 for fitment and that was including a full service + full flush of the radiator. It was based on how much it would cost Max and how much you put into the internals :P

Kinda sucks though, fiddled so much with the shift pressures and shit and went to manual in the end anyway haha!

@Hemmies: Mace CAI for the go man, Growler is as HERONVY says, same thing just alot more expensive.

You'll love the MACE CAI though, the intake sound was ALOT louder on mine than standard.. Dunno why not as much on others but yeah.

Bob jane are expensive as fk. They might of supplied it with better tyres though.

EDIT: Heronvy - I just noticed, with all them mods you got the extractors will give you alot more than 6kw, i got 6kw with my car being stock, not added on after everything done. I reckon you could get another 10+ outta it.

Cool yeah thats true, a lot of money for basically the same thing.... I'm still running a saas one on mine and it goes alright, i guess it comes down to personal preference.
The throttle bodies are good fun, can notice way better throttle response down low, youll like it mate.

Yeah better off paying the little extra for a proper unit made to suit.

nice man, good luck with everything!

    No worries

haha was gonna say, SHIAT! thats alot, but that seems more reasonable now you say it
    yeah thats true

On the note of extractors, i think if i can get onto a set cheap enough i might chuck a set on for shi7s and gigs .. see how it goes

Still yet to get a dyno run, but waiting for my rdo to go get it done, such a long wait!! so over it lol

3.7's arrived on friday too btw drake, gotta get them put in soon, in your experience how much quicker does it take off the line? (btw my standard ratio box was infact 3.08 not 3.46 like everyone was so certain on, photographic evidence proved that)
Seems like atm it only goes hard mid-high revs, my mechanic reckons that with the gears ill feel the power all over the rev range with em, but not as much in the high top end revs.

    How does yours feel?

Sory for de-railing thread topic btw HEMMIES, can post in my thread if you like drake

    Cheers, Al

nice clean car you have there and the mace cold air intake is the best value intake. I have one on my car paired with almost full exhaust (still running the stock cat) the intake made the exhaust note deeper and the my fuel economy and power have also improved and this is all with just resetting the ecu after i did the extractors and then the intake

    Default Update:

Got my headlights this morning, and i had an RDO so i installed them.
very happy with the outcome the bumper and lights fit better than the stock ones did
next thing on the list is:
    - 20's
    - ss taillights
    - MACE CAI (didnt get around to ordering them due to paypal effing me around :/.....)
    - Senator spoiler ??? undecided
    - extractors
    - lowered on king springs
    - blue interior lights

this is kind of a long term thing, since i need to save the dohhh
Then next year i was thinking a full sound system? but ill worry about that then,
never know might do it sooner....
