Hi guys, been on the forum browsing for a while now and after recently upgrading from a VZ Exec I thought I'd put up some pics of my SS I purchased about a month ago.
The car was stock when I bought it apart from the stereo and Chev badges with only 76,000kms... All I have done is had the exhaust fitted and removed the side v8 badges and the commodore boot badge. I was originally looking to buy a VE SSV but after test driving a few and then driving this, I couldn't say no especially with the money I saved... Overall I actually prefer the handling and look of the VZ.

Car looks unreal. Love Black VZ SS'.
Looks like a really good pickup.
Will look even better with the GONS on there!
....My Impulse VZ SS....
i like it, and i actually dont mind the black chev badge, if only the front matched lol
car looks great, and future mods look great, congrats on the purchase
Check out my VZ SS =D soon to be cammed (hopefully) lolGot VE SS badges you don't want? Click here or pm me
Thanks guys and yeah I wasn't too sure about the Chev badges either, the rear badge was gold like the front but I decided to cover it with black sign writers film... I reckon I'm going to cover the front one too.
Chuck up some interior pix!
The car looks good especially without the rear spoiler or maybe just fit the HBD (Holden by Design) lip spoiler.
I agree with your thoughts to cover the front chev badge with black film then you sort of satisfy both camps those that like chev badges and those that don't as they won't stand out in black.

what is the width of the genuine pentagon rears? 9 or 9.5inch?
and if your going to wrap the front chev badge, its even easier because the bowtie actually comes out, from memory 2 clips on the rear

They're 9.5's with stretched 245/35/20 and you're right there are 2 clips on the rear, I took it off and painted it gloss black on the weekend.
Looks good mate! nice and clean

howd you manage too fit 9.5" on the rears?
He has 245's stretched to fit 9.5's so if the rim fits without tyres then it would fit with tyres.
But there would be absolutely no rim protection and in hard cornering you could even hit the rim on the road.
Saw Ricer Honda do that once with super stretched and super low profile tyres.

Bit of an update:
Purchased 2x 100cell cats & DuSpeed OTR - Will be going in to be fitted and tuned asap.
Also recently fitted a set of 10.5mm Eagle leads and a 6000k HID kit.
Thinking about either painting the Pentagons black, or getting a different style of rim in black? I reckon black on black will look tough
