Okay, so been lurking for a while here and have spoken up recently so I thought I should post 'the ride'.
Bought her/him/it back in May after having tired of the series II VS exec and the increasing leaks and rattles (the resale plummet also sucked) So it was time to beg to the bank again and start all over.
It had been locked up in this guys shed for the best part of its 2 years on the road and when I test drove it it had a shade over 13,000km on the clock. Have only recently just clocked over 24k. The guy I got it from was sad to see it go, but a new company car beckoned and this was pretty much a much loved but unwanted car. So I scored it for $25k. I was a bit upset that I had to settle for an auto, but it was such a score, too hard to pass up!
The only options from the factory that I am aware of are the leather wheel and the gear selector, other than that it was all stock.
Since I have had it, have spent around $3k on the Lid, tray liner, 2 1/2 stainless cat back system from D&T, new Alpine HU with ipod interface, 85% tint and a hands free kit for my now obsolete phone. Need to investigate a bluetooth solution for the new W800i so it can all be tucked away.
Other than that, not much else planned. Thought about lowering it, but after carrying a few heavier loads and seeing the scrapes and tailgate hit the ground, I have had second thoughts. The car does occasionally go bush afterall.
Looking forward to the upcoming Adelaide meet and catching up with a few faces and perving on some shiny metal things. aka cars....
