Hey,
Nice upgrade from a pulsar. Impluse is a nice colour!
Im glad your enjoying the car.
have you got any plans for the car?
I totally forgot about this thread,
Thanx barbs
Since then, ive put on a towbar, K&N panel filter. Gave the car a good detailed clean, service. The oil that came outta the car was disgusting.
In next couple of weeks will be doing the two hole mod & later on sound sys.
Still thinking about wat head unit to fit.
Get an OTR intake instead of the 2 hole. People have been saying they are heaps better in the sv6. Gives more growl.
A Commodore is a passion. Anything else is just a car
Workshops have actually been saying that the OTR are crap on the SV6's, so don't get one of them.
Do the two hole mod, as they are getting good gains, and cost nothing.
Welcome to JC Paul
How big are the pics? Telstra slowed me to dialup speed and they wont load for me.
Very nice ride mate you will do well
love the blue sv6's You should paint your engine covers blue!
What skooby said. The Alloytec doesn't respond well to OTR 2 hole mod: good results and better bang for your buck.
Ive been uming & arring about the 2 hole mod, ive red bullittSV6 intro thread & have taken a liking to the MCAI shroud.
Thanx Ozzie, updated pics will come tonite if i get some time, will adjust size to.
That is difinitely wat i had in mind
Ive red af ew thread & have noticed that. Will be looking at the MCAI Shroud. I put a thermometor on front of the airbox then went for a drive & was amazed how hot it gets there. Thats when i started having second thoughts about the 2 hole, until i saw all the pics on ur thread & where u placed the shroud.
Yeah I noticed it was difficult to find pics of a full MCAI and 2 hole mod installation so I thought I might add them. I responded to your question about the part number and added more info that should help.
How hot did it get under there just out of curiosity
There's a thread on here somewhere where it gives a link to Castle Hill Exhaust's development of an OTR CAI. They abandoned development because the alloytec just didn't respond well to an OTR.

Hey Guys, some updated pics
poosar/Commodore pics - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Well, finally got a chance to get the MCAI shroud from holden tomorrow, if all goes to plan 2 hole mod should be finished on the weekend.
Will keep u guys posted.
car looks good condition, good find. definently a good upgrade from a pulsar lol.
im from caso aswell eh, ive probs seen u driving around before, but theres a fair few sv6's around.
Lol, thanx mate.
I work in Hoyle avenue, home is very close for me.
Gave the car a wash n polish yesterday it was filthy.
Didnt get a chance to do the 2 hole mod, as i was having trouble fitting the MCAI shroud & ran outta of light.
A few places on the shroud have to be cut for it to fit.
Hey guys, quick update.
Haven't had a chance to do the 2 hole mod yet or let alone anything to the car in the last couple of months its been pretty busy for me.
Anyway, last nite i fitted up the satin chrome door handles, handbrake bezel/button & steering wheel spokes.
Next on the list is VY SS satin chrome/black centre dash facia & HBD pedals, 2hole mod,
3 window Berlina/calais cluster, just gotta get the cluster. Phreddy's already told me all the do's & dont's.
Pics of satin chrome highlights now up.![]()

The Blue One
Hey guys & girls,
Had some spapre time today, so decided to do the MCAI & two hole mod.
As u can see from the pics below its pretty much all completed except for a piece of 70mm pvc ill install into the second hole.
Also i had to cut about an inch off the top of the MCAI shroud, as it was a tad to high for the radiator shroud to fit on top of.
All up took about 90mins. havent driven it yet, will give it a test tomorrow

Looking good dude.

should only increase with the 2 hole mod
