    Smile Ex-cop VY

    G'day all,

Just wanted to get photos of my baby up here.
Bought it off the cops when they all got the VE's, a few ks on her, but all round a great car. They actually did change the oil etc. and looked after it!!! I know, shock horror!

Also there's a dent in the bonnet where someone has been handcuffed against it gotta get it taken out soon...

    Model: VY Commodore Exec I

    Colour: White

    Engine: 3.8L Ecotec

    Kilometres: Almost 180, 000

Exhaust: Standard, getting a new system soon, if anyone wants to make some suggestions...

    Gearbox: 4-speed auto

    Brakes: Standard

    Suspension: Lowered a few inches....

Wheels/Tyres: Plastic hubcaps. bahahahaha. I'm looking at a set of 18" alloy over black ones, kinda sexy...

Interior: Standard executive, some cosmetic stuff

Stereo: Clarion set-up; I-Pod playing head unit, 6s in the front 6x9s in the door and 6x9s on the parcel shelf and a clarion sub with a Kenwood amp set-up in the boot

Other Mods: Some goodies the cops did when they had it, nothing too crazy...hauls ass though!

    Future Mods List:
De-badge, should be this weekend - or next - this weekend - ok in a week or so....
Nothing over the top for the engine at the moment, the power the cops put into it is pretty good
I'm fog lights, and the indicator bits of the VZ
The rims i spoke about above...

and that should just about do it...deffinately a new paint job, after i get out the dings

Also, in the third photo, you can see where some a-hole has backed his bullbar into me (the top mark) and where the bolt holding my bumper on has popped out from (bottom mark).
Some people are just pricks...so now i need a new rear bumper!

Very nice - maybe leave the dent...think of it as a part of its interesting history!

I disagree, ex patrol cars do but ex commissioner's or high ranking officer's rarely abuse their cars, most of the ex cop cars I've seen are in better condition than alot of private cars.

    No they don't.

Ambo's flog cars much better and harder than coppers.

By a fireman's police pack. or the SES. Someone who doesn't get to flog it much.

Or like me you buy them 'new'!

Thing is emergency service cars get service more often with many agencies, though unfortunately many are dragging things out to the recommended dealer services which is dangerous.

I was gonna take one yesterday actually, just never got around to it. Was gonna take a photo of my boot set-up too, i like it, it's imaginitive and i absolutely rock!
I'll see what i can do soon....

Anyways...i've had a sudden jolt of lightning shoot up my @$$ and stuff's starting to happen.

I've ordered the SS Front headlights, which will be arriving shortly, i've decided on the VZSS taillights, which will come my way when i can find a set!!
I'm after 19 GTS Monaro rims (below) i reckon, if i can work out it wont make a difference on my speedo and stuff.
Ordering the HSV Foot pedals, and looking into getting a leather wrapped SS steering wheel.
De-badging this coming weekend, no excuses and as soon as i find a caramel wheel i'm taking off the black side trolley stopper bits

All cosmetic stuff at the moment, i know, but i'd love to get the body sorted out and straightened up and pretty-fuls, then slam a raptor into the engine bay and feel my baby really start to live!!!!!

The rims won't affect the speedo as the larger the rim, the smaller the tyre profile. Sounds good mate. Keep us posted.

Sounds like a good plan mate with the raptor and all.

    DUK13Y,

depends on the upgrade of tyre/wheel. My diameter is bigger from 17's to 18's but only marginally. The good thing is if you do the speedo speed you are running slower than the posted speed if you go bigger.

Do a search of the forums mate. There have been lots of posts asking the same and a lot of posts listing the mods.

They aren't chipped. It is the driver to a great extent.

Please don't try and keep up--there will be tears....
