Hey guys,

Have posted a little info on my ride in other forums but I decided to consolidate it all here. It's a work in progress but I am currently working my way there.

So far as of Sunday I installed a 600w 4 Chanel Pioneer amp and 1200w Pioneer Kevlar Sub in a custom made box in the boot.

Today I have installed a strut brace and I am heading out soon to pick up a K&N air filter for the filter box. Here are the pics I have so far...

When I first got the car, a week after I bought it I went along to a dyno day in Bibra Lake WA for a Toyota Performance dyno day (lol?). I wanted to get a base figure for the car so I can work on that. The dyno place was In Tune Performance in Bibra Lake on Salpietro st.

Here are some general images of the car, more to come as it was a sunny day with light filtering into the underground carpark and causing a lot of glare...

And this is a pic I took today of the newly installed strut brace...

I will upload some images of the Sub and Amp when I take them, so far the images I have taken are rather crap (a lot of sunlight in the boot). But so far the system sounds bloody nice.

-Chris

Looks good mate. Get a good 2.5" exhaust, some high ration rockers and lower an inch or 2 and you'll be much happier.

heh indeed

The wish list is as follows:

Tint %35
2.5" dual into single w/ opened cat and high flow mufflers w/ pacemaker headers
hi ratio roller-rockers (might have to have a lookie at what Impulsivesv6 has, because I will be heading down the supercharger path in a years time, so I am pretty well preparing for it).
SS CAi Induction system (if an OTR isn't developed sometime soon)
CAM (possibly)
Supercharger (well ..... probably after the wedding next year.... )

They do come with traction control, but thats to stop/help stop the rear wheels from spinning in the wet/cornering etc. The strut brace is to improve the cars ridgedness when cornering and so forth so as the body of the car does not flex as much. Also it stops your shock-wells from canting inwards over time from lots of hard cornering. Correct me if I am wrong please someone heh.

You can get a strut brace from the holden shop for about $50. The K&N air filter claims to increase the HP of a vehicle by about 20hp. Though I can't prove this yet until I get my car dyno'd again, I can say that it is a bit more responsive on the revs, especially when coming out of corners on revs it picks up again quicker. From standing start no change really, until torque kicks in about 1500rpm and then the induction is a bit stronger and accelerates a bit harder than usual. Hope that helps you some!

I have seen those on ebay yeah, they are pretty much the same thing as say for instance an SS Cold Air Induction system but whereas the SS CAI systems draw air from under the bonnet (correct me if I am wrong) the kits you mention suck the air in from around the passenger side headlight. From what I can gather they pretty much do the same thing, but the kit you mention, from what I believe, can be slightly better if you can efficiently feed it more air at a higher rate. The reason I went for the K&N panel is to keep it looking stock at the moment, will probably have a look at the 2 hole mod if I can be bothered, I am a lazy bastard when it comes to that stuff hehe

Just set aside a weekend for it. That's what I did and it felt good to get under the bonnet and do something and tinker.
