i have just bought a vz lumina and wanting to paint my centre console like urs.
just wondering if you could tell me what paint (brand/colour etc) that you used as it came up really good, also any tips you might have.

im not 100% sure on the paint but I'm pretty sure its black automotive two pack with a metallic additive. It was done with a spray gun and covered in a shitload of clear. Afterwards we used some very fine wet rub to smooth it out and finally a very small amount of cutting compound to bring out the shine. My dad mixed the paint and sprayed it for me so I'll have to find out exactly what paint he used when I talk to him next.

At least its all running though. I really need to get some time to finish the install and I also need to invest in a new camera.

Yea mate, picked it up off ebay. It wasn't overly cheap but I think it was worth it. I really gotta get the rest of the boot neatened up too.

Yea no room for the golf clubs at the moment. When I get some free time I'll cut the amp board to size, carpet it and mount it behind the seats.
Update: Got phreddy around to finish off my LED conversion. He did my cluster with red dials/white needles. Looks really nice
Also got some satin door handles, a statesman leather shifter and surround and a leather handbrake cover for my birthday.. will get some pics up once they're all in!
Finally got the time to get the leather statesman shifter and handbrake in today. It took a while as I had to convert all the green lighting to red/white. Looks good now though! I also now have a T/C button on there that lights up but isn't connected to anything. I'll figure something out for it in future.

Now that I'm getting some time on my hands I'm starting work on the project car I've had in the shed for a few years, an old VK SL. Eventually I want to get a full respray, and drop an efi 5 litre with a 5spd in it. Right now though I'm just gonna clean it up, and convert the interior to full calais spec, including all electrics and the digital dash. I wrecked a calais a couple years ago so I got all the goodies boxed up in the shed!
