Picked up last Saturday. Currently has 140,000km on the clock. Have spent all week either driving or cleaning it and am averaging 8.5l/100km which is pretty good I think mostly 25-50km short trips. Handles fantastic from my older 1994VR. Definitely a lot of fun.

Any suggestions for future. Would love a set of VE rims however the front speakers sound damaged so I think a full rewire and fit out inside will be first.

Looks great mate. As for suggestions, as you are a P plater, I would probably just get a 2.5" catback and then maybe change over the heads and tails to the SS models versions.

Currently looking at audio and sound options. Probably just stick to a set of new 3 way speakers for back and front and either a double din JVC DVD headunit or Pioneer double din MP3 headunit still not sure.

I'm not at all going for power or bass more clarity.

hey matty lookin good, i wouldnt bother with the dvd player, as u know i had one in mine and sold it, u wont use it, its a novelty for the first month then u wont use it. just get urself a nice headunit that has usb so mo more burning cds, some decent 6"s for the front and some nice 6x9s for the rear, u dont need to spend a fortune to get a good clean sound

as for the exhaust, get a 2.5" catback, if you dont want it to drone they maybe look at putting a rear resonator on it just to dampen the drone.

Excellent choice of colour - i never get tired of seeing hothouse green! SSV rims would make him look even tougher you know.

Definitely agree I love the colour. Some people hate it, some love it, just think it suits so much.

I am also agreeing on SSV rims gives a very clean look.


I'm actually going to leave exhaust for now Rip just because I like the quiet drive atm, and would rather do interior and detailing work to clean it up a bit more, but something down the track definitely.
