Hey mate, nice
similiar mods that im gong to do to my SV6, except for SS headlights & 3.46 diff.
got any pics.
Strut brace will only cost u about $50-$60.
Ohh yep forgot to mention the strut brace, I'll be putting one on when it get's lowered.
Here are some pics

lower it and get some bigger, nicer rims and it will look smack imo.
but goos start eh, im jealous lol
Love that colour.
I have to agree with nathg... dump it atleast, dunno if their 16"s? or might just look that way cous of the ride hight. Maybe some bigger rims though
The spoiler doesnt suit it either but thats my opinion lol
nice ride though mate, well done! and welcome to JC![]()
nice ride, i was looking for this colour before i got my white one.
hows the catback sound, any drone?
Chev badges are an instant fail
Thanks guys : )
Yeah it rides like a truck atm lol. Lowering her will be the first thing I'll be doing.
I don't love the spoiler either, but i really don't like the look of them without the spoiler, seams likes something's missing (obviosuly lol).
The catback is a little weak to be honest, it's really boomy down low with a bit of drone, but I'll see how it sounds with cats and pacies, hopefully it'll be a lil more grunty.
We ordered a spare airbox today, so will be trying the 2hole mod over the weekend.
I love that colour. Not a big fan of the chrome. Has been said but the rims could be a little bigger. Let us know how the 2-hole mod goes![]()

Nearly finished the 2 Hole mod, just want to paint it so it looks more genuine lol.
I've got a bit of a problem though, i have bought the genuine VZ Strut Brace, but the bitch will not fit on. I jacked the front of the car, and still wouldn't fit.
Has anyone else had this problem?
your supposed to have the wheels off the ground when you fit them so the strut towers relax.
make sure you check the bolts are still tight after a couple of drives.
Chev badges are an instant fail
When the car's on the ground the hole's on the brace are probably a good inch off... and when its jacked up it was a bit closer, but still bout 10mm off.
Im trying it on a mates VZ this afternoon, so we will see how she fits on his.
We were able to easily fit the brace on my mate's vz today... so that makes me wonder, what the hell is wrong with my car lol?
wack that wing off, looks sic without a spoiler and just the kit.
def lower it, will look so good.
Nice ride though, i soooo want a sv6 vz there tops
Shit, completely forgot about this thread.
Umm since my last post I've debadged, removed spoiler, and lowered on Pedder's XA Coilovers.
Here are some pics.

Nice ride dude, very nice...
How do you find the Pedders coilovers ?? I am tossing up between them and Teins but would like some feedback on how they handle potholes and bumps more than anything else.
Did ya get your strut brace on eventually ??
Cheers,
Trev...
Thanks man. I never managed to get the brace installed, but I'll be getting adjustable Whiteline sway bars and a strut brace shortly, so we should be able to fit the new one.
The XA's are great, I'm more then happy with them, and would definitely recommend them. You can set the damper to softer then OEM, so potholes and bumps are not be a problem.
I've got mine set at 15-20, which is about 60% stiffness, and you do feel most imperfections in the road, but it's not to bad at all.. And is still quite a pleasant ride.
I haven't drive in a commodore with Tein's so can't properly compare the two, but I've been told the Pedders are much better and pleasant on the street.
Bit of an update.
Cars booked in on Wednesday for 5% tint all round.
And booked in for CC Pacies, and maybe high-flow cats friday week.
Also looking at getting the holes in the boot welded and painted, just waiting for quotes to come back...
Nice colour mate, I have the MY06 VZ SS L76 6.0L in the same colour, Isn't the colour just great, and not that many of them around. It is interesting to see it with the spoiler off, I was going to take mine off to see how it looks, but you have done that for me.
Yeah the colour is great!
I love the look of the SS's in Tursimo, the SS headlights and Flutes look absolutely mint, and yeah there are barely any around, which is great.
Got the 5% done yesterday, looks great, much much darker.
I'll post some pics when I get time..
Might have new rims in the next few weeks, just need to sweet talk the boss (GF).
