Anyways, time for an update, my 6 speed manual transmission has arrived, now i've just gotta get off my ass and organise the other parts for the conversion
FA-77-VY,
I was thinking of lowering it, but it's low enough, it still scrapes on some of the roads i travel on as it is, even a road coming from the weekly meet. It mostly scrapes on the mudflaps at the front, and once they stop scraping i'll know how much further i can drop it, but it isn't very far at all! Mind you some places i drive it scrapes all the way down the middle section of the vehicle. I have also discovered the inside of my rear wheels is work down quite a bit (they'll be changed hopefully within the week), must have bad camber, no idea why, its been that low since Holden owned it.
Dont really want to put chasers on it, i want to keep it stock looking, more of a sleeper vehicle i was thinking.
hey man how many pullys u got on the front of the engin bought a suprecharger for mine jus wonderin wat i gotta get
looks like u need a camber kit in the car. my car had the same problem too. i got some airbags and camber kit and now the wheels last me the average tyre life. its a bit costy tho cost me like 1.5k to get it all fixed up but it worth it
FE-77-VY, there's just one pulley for the actual supercharger, if you got an Eaton M90 supercharger you will also need:
1 extra idler pulley
Another tensioner pulley
Double Tracked Harmonic Balancer
and replace one idler pulley with a double headed idler pulley
If you want a pic shoot me a PM
victor71,
Thanks for that, i was thinking about it the other day and im hoping front and rear wheels just need aligning and that will fix it. If not it will only make it better. Did you find any disadvantages changing to a bagged car?
OK, havn't had an update in quite a while since i've been working so much and had no time to do much at all.
I have finally installed part of the sound system. Sony Doudle Din DVD head unit is all installed, rest is on it's way.
Still engineering everthing to do with the manual conversion (including the transmission cooler). Still a few parts needed, but shouldn't be too long.
Heres some pics of it currently (got bored of the old pics).

Just so you are aware Holden actually own thousands of cars each year. They are almost always lease cars and once the lease is up they are then sold through dealers as ex holden owned vehicles. No mods or testing done (we werent allowed ha) they are just regular cars, i worked there for many years and had several lease cars. We leased them for a year and then went and got another one, easy.........
For people that have been following my T56 conversion and asking about it. It's another step closer. Currently have:
T56
Spare drive shaft
VY Gear stick with red stitching
All hydralic parts (including clutch foot pedal)
Custom bellhousing
Custom flywheel with new ring gear
New spigot bush
Shouldn't be too long now![]()
