Default My VY Calais (supercharged V6)

Hey guys, reasonably new here so I think it's about time I posted my ride.

It's my pride and joy, yeah it's not as hot as some of your guys rides, but keep in mind;

1: I'm 18
2: It's my first car

Well since I'm no car boffin I cant say much.

Series 2 VY Calais (V6 Supercharged)

Mods: None as of yet

Planned mods: You name it, it's getting done to this car (While I'm at it any of you guys know of some good engine mods I should make sure are on the list?).

Edit: LOL just realise I parked over the top of a fire hydrant

Looks great dude! I really dig the colour - sorta looks like the colour of my VS.
I think she'd look beautiful with some lower suspension and some wider rims.
Don't forget those extractors and exhaust!

Great first car. Makes my '97 Mitsubishi Lancer look like rubbish. Exhaust would be my first mod just to get her sounding sweet and breathing a bit better.

Just finished putting my new exhaust in, what can I say she sounds great.

Twin 2.5"

Extractors are booked in for when I come back from the mines in two weeks, pulleys are a close future mod and so is a new cam. I'll wait for those mods though because I want it tuned just after I put them in. To get it tuned well up here apparently it's best to wait until one of the shops brings up a tuner from down south for a few weeks. I don't trust people in Darwin haha.

I will get a video and some new pics once it stops raining

Love that colour, really deep. Make sure when you get the headers you go for Pacie 5061s, they are 1 3/4 into 2 1/2 collectors and will match up to your twin 2 1/2. I had the cat pipes cut off and 2 1/2 piping welded on to match the headers and cat back. Factory cats are quite good to a point so I think it's worth modding them instead of spending $700+ on metal cats.

Oh, get rid of the mud flaps, they will create drag thus reducing thrust

Top looking car though seriously mate

Thanks man, will make sure I have a squizz at the Pacie headers when I get there. The stock headers are decent so they'll be upgraded a bit later when I do the extractors.

The mud flaps was hilarious haha, but rest assured they're on there for a reason. The torrential rain has a tendency to loosen road surfacing in Darwin. I'll take them off for a trial run and keep an eye on possible stone chipping. But I reckon that would be a bad move for me. Especially since the primer is bright white (erh scratch you can actually see in the pic I took on the back passenger door).

I'll try though

Car's idling a bit rough when cold, started doing it a few days after I put the new exhaust on. The ECU hasn't fixed it its self. Any ideas guys?

Might go back to stock exhaust, too loud haha.

Reset the ECU? (unplug the battery for an hour).

Fixed... ECU had nothing to do with it, somehow two vaccum hoses had come off.

Sounding beasty at the moment

Vac hoses seem to be a common problem with the L67 engines! Mine had the same problem (caused by my mechanic though). Are you planning on doing the 2 hole mod? The supercharger is basically breathing through a straw with the stock air intake!

What's the S2 VIN ranges? I can't honestly tell you, but it's registered as a series 2

S2 has a more aggressive lip kit on it, FE1.5 suspension and different tail lights with the reflectors on the bumper bar.
