I reckon you just make the rest of the car into a primer-mobile lol, will definately stand out! just make it all that shifty lookin white colour, or just matte black, ive seen a guy on youtube (search 1LOCOLS3) n he has a matte black SS that looks pretty sweet

I rekon, should see some of the looks I get driving it around... They must be thinkin some random thoughts seeing it

Sort of like the matt black idea, but would only do it if I could put a satin/matt clear over it to protect the paint, don't like the "chalk board" patchy effect it gets with age. Basically so it looks like 1LOCOLS3, all one shade, neat looking. The links further up the page to it, sounds like a real weapon too


For the moment, its looking like just back to Delft Blue, mainly cause I cbf'd stripping the doors or the engine bay out... A painter/mate has said "they can be done later..." but, knowing me it'l probly stay like it for a long while

Want to get this looking respectable, then hook into the VH, finish/paint the engine bay, get the motor in, dash in, engo'd and rego'd etc... All by around July... Think I'll do it?

Then turn back the clock a bit, finish my sisters HQ, paint, interior, etc. (tax money )

Then back to the VH, paint the outside of it, finish it off completely - or until I get some real coin to play with for an old carby fed beast or LSx conversion (hopefully! )



Well, enough jibber jabber! Back to half an update,

Looks like its time to do some lower inner control arm bushes again, I swear I only did them 6 months ago or so??
Time to upgrade to urethane or something stronger me thinks. Aswell as probly strut tops/bearings, rear radius rod bushes, (already done the fronts) and while im there some sway bar/link bushes. And most likely ball joints, tie rod ends and rack ends...
I have an annoying "pull" in the steering going around corners at 60-80km/h and it seems to be developing into a dangerous little "mod"

I ment on the Pacific H'way, where the speed limit varies from 70-90km/h not on 50km/h suburban streets.
Its been like it for a while, so I do drive to the limits of the car.

Some progess but probly not what you're expecting...


From today onwards, IMO and I'm sure a few others would agree, Paint Stripper, is THE most effective, quickest, and safest way to strip a panel, sure it can be "messy" but so can sanding with dust everywhere
I'd never really used it on a car panel before, but now if ever I need to get a panel back to metal or start another project - it'l be the only way I go... (unless theres bog under it, and I know its clean metal)

Just starting out, had to go grab some more paint stripper and at it again!

Its just a light coat of acrylic black, as a guide coat for when I block sand the whole lot, before paint.
The black all sands off, and if there is any little dents, or scratches, low spots etc in the panel they stay black speckled, so its way easier to see

It actually looked quite nice while the primer was still wet, glossy as, straight as...

Yeah mate, ended up driving 6 and a bit hours straight this arvy, started this morning from Katoomba, then to Bathurst fanged around the track, looked for speed camera's but couldn't see any into the museum, then off to 'almost' Mudgee, over to musswellbrook - singleton - home



Over the last 2-1/2 to 3 days, been to Jenolan Caves, not the place for a big unfit bloke, lol, figured out i'm not a huge fan of confined spaces, Zig Zag Railway, got $3.30 in squashed coins tried to do the three sisters, but it was that foggy you couldn't see shit, been accross the blue mountains and back a few times = shitty planning led to driving all over the place :/

Then up to see Gods country, aka Bathurst saw Gods car, touched Gods car, drove on God's mountain a few times, tried to go up pit lane, but it was blocked off, so ended up reversing out backwards :/

Stayed in Oberon, and Blackheath, but in the wrong order lol, drove straight through to Oberon on the first day, missed all the "stuff" in the Mountains, lol...

AND lastly, COWS LOVE HORNS lmfao... Randomly, as we were driving, when my Girlfirend was almost asleep, there was some cows, really close to the fence/roadway just chilling out, eating grass, then BAM! the VY's horn sounds, scaring the crap outta the younger cows, some actually started running away... Had us both in stitches most of the way up to Mudgee Especially when we thought there was a "farmer" following us

Just a few photo's from the trip to the Mountains VKCommo was talking about.

Evans Look-Out, you can't really grasp how big the canyon is, my eyes had trouble focusing it was soo far up



This made the couple of days a bit more interesting



Heres a shot from under a big ass wind turbine thing, down the Blue Mountains way, somewhere..? lol
The sky was a really nice purpley colour, but the camera didn't capture it real well, and I don't know much about editing photo's

Been stuck into the VH, and stripping the VP (donor car). End result being, an empty VP shell, on the back of an 8' x 5' trailer... And 3 sore backs

Damm, lol we drove all around there on the first night down there :/
We didn't drive along that road but, just upto the windmills then turned around back out to the main road going to oberon.
But from that little bit we drove on, yeah it was all tight and twisty, could definately have some fun throwing a car through some of the corners

lmao... Hopefully it will see some paint before it finds itself in a scrap yard, or where ever 'car heaven' is...

Unfortunately, it doesn't look to good for now, just deciding whether to 'have a go' myself and see how it turns out, (I've got acrylic paint to come up alright, but not real experienced with 2pack painting) Or to see the husband of one of Mums work friends, he's a panel beater/spraypainter. The latter option would yeild better results, but at a higher cost...

Dad rekons just paint it myslef, he has soo much confidence in me, where as I'm more of a 'realist' when it comes to my skill level in spray painting

And can't decide on a colour, lol. Its looking like the standard blue again, but i don't want it to 'blend in' with the other cars on the road too much... (although, I don't want it to stand out as much as fluro yellow either..)

is this really being discussed still?, i do believe it was agreed that it will be the ultimate primer mobile as result of a huge guy theory...n we dont want it to come to that, i think it'd look awesome lol...then maybe just black GT stripes down it haha...primered and black GT stripes would look so amazingly one of a kind...im in love with my own mind for coming up with something so genius
