My Vy S-pac 1st car

Hey every1. been meaning to do this for a while so here goes

1stly ill apoligize for the shit fotos. took b4 i owned the car just havent had to time get more.

This is my 2002 Vy S-pac, unfortunatly im only 17 so cant legally drive my baby alone i brought her 6 months ago with 122,***kms for $8,500

everything has been going good but i want some more power.

does any1 have some suggestions for me to get more torque and mid range power.

Nice first car mate. Great buy too. Why can't you legally drive it yet? Power in a V6 is very limited without supercharging or stroking. Maybe change your exhaust set up and get some high ration rockers and a tune. That should give you a 10-25rwkw increase at least.

Get yourself some SS taillights, do the SS conversion for the headlights and paint your dash, wheel spokes, handbrake, shifter, vents, instrument surround, door handle and anything i've missed to the satin chrome colour like the SS. Should be sweet after that.

i can drive it but only on my l's, therefore very slow.

i was looking the doin exhaust but would it make a difference i got 2 1/2 catback, would i need to do extractors aswell?

i wouldnt have the confidence or no-how to pull my dash apart and paint it

deffinatly want to get the "phreddyed" aswell

Painting the dash should be rather easy. Haven't done it yet but I'm only 16 so I don't want to touch the car till I get my P's. But look at these: VY/VZ How to paint dash and steering wheel spokes

They should guide you pretty well. I sprayed my brakes when I was 15 so don't think you aren't able to do something like this based on your age.

Just Dont Rush Anything When Your Painting The Longer You Take The Better It Will Look Dont Try And Get It All Done At Once Cause If You Rush Painting It Will Turn Out Shithouse And If You ArmorAll Anything Make Sure You Wipe It Over With Wax'n'Grease Remover Paint Dont Like ArmorAll..lol

Ride looks nice mate. Are you keeping the Rims standard? Would definately upgrade to the SS lights. I love the look of mine! Umm, like Duk13y said, unlesss your willing to shell out the money on a supercharger your not going to be able to coax too much more out of her. Glad to see she's a Manual...6 or 5 speed?

nahh planning on gettin VZ R8 19's. you and duk13y have sold me on the ss lights, when i get time i will give it a shot. she is 5-speed. looking at getting it ported doin the cam and a few otha little things. cant do much as it is il-legal for me now . thanks for the feedback guys.

Nice vehicle pickup you got there! I wish mine was manual! I would be having soo much more fun! Contemplating converting mine in future, but it's going to be a pain because Holden never made the Supercharged engines with a manual.

Just so you know it will be illegal for you to modify it to increase performance while your on your P's, so youll have to wait roughly 4 and a half years to do that! Depending on the cop even changing your exhaust is a performance mod. If you look at the CAI mod i did to my vehicle you'd probably be able to get away with that if a cop pulls you over and checks your car because it's hidden. And can't see it especially with the black cars! Everything blends in!

You picked up a very nice vehicle, you'll enjoy it!

i no mods are illegal so im looking at internal work so they cant see.
it has ok power but like every1 im always after a little more.
i been considering the 2 hole mod but dont have a confidence to start hacking at my car.

2 hole mod works if you have a VZ, but the VY's were a little different, so i made my own. Topic here if you want to read: CAI: Alien By Design

As for internal mods, roller rockers would be the best way to go, they're not that noticeable, unless your a bastard cop who knows what they're doing.

If your having problems with keeping your car clean, take a look at Meguiars car care products! All the newer generation stuff. NXT Gen wax is a must. You throw that on after getting all your paint right and you can use instant detailer between washes to keep it looking awesome!

Wow, if you want to do the cam you must be made of money! They arn't cheap at all! And a fair bit of labour involved in that too!
