Does anyone know how many 6.0 VZ ss sedans in the Devil Yellow were made, or how I can find out?

I have a feeling most of the Devil Yellow VZ SS were Victorian Highway pursuit cars. wouldn't have a clue how to find out their numbers or confirm this is true.

Yeah in the manual it says that the model is Commodore VZ SS Sedan Police so Im under the impression that its ex cop. Ive been trying to find one the same to get some kind of idea of what its worth to sell it but when I couldnt find any I thought that it might be uncommon and worth hangin onto. Struggling to find info on it tho.

although it is yellow and rare, it is a ex cop car, so i think that would cancel out any sort of price increase

I can't imagine that the colour would have much bearing on its value, no matter how few were made. Must admit - I've never seen a factory painted Devil Yellow sedan.

So would anyone know how I would find out exactly how many were made and what it would be worth? Like is there some kind of website or sumthing that I could look into?

Just to give u a general idea check out www.redbook.com.au
Some of their advising prices are bulls**t.
I think they value it at around 22-25k private sale with 45-75 thousand km's on the clock.
Though, this is for a stock SS, I don't know what options the police ones had.
It has probably been thrashed being a highway pursuit car and would have a lot more km's than other VZ SS's so I'd say it would be worth less than the others on the market.
    But I'm not a professional.

I live out Western Sydney & I see one occasionally around my area, I thought the guy must have resparayed it yellow. I had no idea it was a factory job or it was a ex pig rig.
I must say though it looks trick in yellow.

Give it 15 years and it will be worth twice a normal VZ SS (just because it's yellow and an ex Police car) that's the way things work. Just a pity it wont be worth more untill it's worth hardly anything. How many did the Police have... Who knows can't imagine it being more than 80, maybe 50?. Pretty tough looking things with the stickers on and lights flashing in your rear view mirrors : )

hahah I like that "give it 15 years it'll be worth twice as much ..." ok, so in 15 years when VZ's are worth, what $4k? That 1 devil VZ SS will be worth $8k ..... I love your reasoning! **facepalm**
Look, it's yellow, it was a cop car and it has probably had a hard life BEING a cop car. So honestly, trying to get more than what current SS's are worth, and you'd be dreaming.

What is it with people thinking ex police cars cop a flogging? (no pun intended). A 'P' plater flogs a car worse that a police officer.....

Hope you're not referring to my post, I just said they usually have a hard life I know full well that they are serviced and maintained like all hell, but the perception is that they still (and do) have a hard life.

Hell yeah P plater's give cars a hard life, first car (usually) and they don't have the experience on how to drive without destroying yet (majority of, not all).

Wasn't referring to you directly, it just reminded me of similar posts that bash ex cop cars.

the cars are driven by people that dont own them, therefore people believe they are less likely to take care of them. not to mention all the mounting of gutters, abuse they receive from drunk people, and all the other cop duties, all of which happens pretty much from 0km on the odometer. to me, flogging is more than just driving it fast.
a P plater's car can have a good life for 250,000km, then some p platers will buy them and flog them, while others will continue the cars good life
