    Exclamation MAF Cleaner

    G'day,
Has anybody had any experience with CRC Maf Cleaner?
Is it just electrical parts cleaner? Very pricey at around 25 bucks.

I wouldn't use degreaser, as it tends to leave some residue, but +1 for plain contact cleaner. I bought the specialist MAF stuff to see what it was about, but as far as I can tell it's just re-packaged contact cleaner for double the price. Not going to buy it again.

I use this at work all the time, with dramatic results at times.
    Awesome stuff.

I use the dick smith contact cleaner. Works well, i think my maf is too far gone though and will need replacing sometime in future. The previous owner never took care of the MAF i guess, and neither did the mechanics.

    Must be pretty bad!

Last car I had, I don't think the MAF had ever been cleaned, and I got it at 170,000km, I didn't get round to cleaning it till about 190,000, and it came up like new!

Most electrical contact cleaners will say "plastic safe" somewhere on them. Check before you buy.
