    Default Disconnect or not to disconnect battery?

    To take out radio you have to disconnect the battery?

    Yes..when messing with anything electrical on the car always disconnect battery. Important with modern cars - too many things you can stuff up by accidentally earthing out.

    Just need to remove clamp from the negative terminal of battery. Make sure you place it well away from the terminal.
